"M-mom?" was the only thing Ty managed to say. He looked at the women in disbelief. His arms grew weak, as did his legs and he dropped to the floor. The women soon became immensely concerned with Ty. I have to say, she oddly resembled the image Ty had explained to me in detail. The pitch black hair, her olive colored skin. I managed to catch a glimpse of a tattoo. Exactly like the one Ty's father had on his bacca looking legs.
This must be Rose, Ty's mom.
This fantastic for Ty. He finally has someone to love. Someone who will love him. Even more than I can, even though I don't want that to be true.
I could feel the awkwardness increase up when Ty looked over at me.
"And this is uh-my" he searched for the correct term for me in his mind. I have no idea what he's going to say. "My friend," he announced proudly. Friend? I thought- whatever.
"He's the one who has been letting me stay over. So I don't have to live with dad," he looked away from his mom. Our eyes met and I could feel a smile dance right onto my face. Man I love Ty. Everything about him is perfect. He may be scrawny, and depressed. He may have lost someone special, who he believed he'd never see again. But's he's still mine.
I light blush began to grow on Ty's cheeks the longer we starred at each other. His mother said nothing, she just-stood there.
"Just friends Ty?" Rose said when she finally spoke up. The blush immediately grew on both out faces. I looked to the floor, while ty faced his mother. "You know you don't have to hide anything. I'm not your father..." She hung onto the last word, as if letting go meant death.
"Well, uh-yeah. Me and Adam- I mean Adam and I are... Dating." He was a nervous wreck. His hands were shaking, he stuttered to the max. I don't even know if his mom understood him.
'I see... now if that's the case, I'm just going to have to," she walked over to Ty. His hands shot up towards his face, and he just fell to the floor. "No, please!" he shrieked.
Rose tugged on my arm and pulled me into a hug.
I heard a muffled, "Take me! Not Adam," he wailed with his hands still over his eyes. If only he would take the time to see what was actually happening, he wouldn't be making a scene.
"Ty..." I whispered. "Open your eyes my love." Ty removed his hands from covering his eyes, only to reveal that Rose was hugging me with a huge smile lighting up her face.
"Ty honey, you know I would never harm you. That's-that's your father..." She choked a little on the end of her sentence. I don't blame her, that man is a beast. And not the good kind.
I looked back over at Ty, who surprisingly had the biggest smile I've ever seen. And I've seen some big smiles. But then something popped back into my mind that was rushing through it earlier.
"Hey Ty, do you still want to go ice skating? That's what I was going to say before your dad walked out."
Ty looked over at his mother with sympathy beaming off him, but then he smiled again. "Only if my mom can come as well," he stated.
"Oh course buddy, no problem with that."

I can't believe I found him. When I arrived at the house, I only came to find that Ty, but he was nowhere to be found. I heard footsteps and his father walked out of the kitchen as I feared for the worst. Close to the worst is what I was served.
