The day began like any other, waiting for nine o'clock, staring out the rather large window to see the fluffy white clouds in the sky above the neighbors' houses and the street below. The view was calming from a room residing inside the only distinctive two-story house. Two people nonsensically looked out the open glass pane (the company of others being the only thing holding them back from jumping out and landing on her neck or any other body part) was a good way to pass the time. A breeze swept through the ash blonde hair of a teenage girl as she sat on her bed, a rather odd cat in her lap, and two additional bodies, one sitting on her bedside table next to her and the other laying on the floor, reading a rather old book. Only two of the four beings actually watching the silent street below.
The blonde watched as there was practically nothing there on the road to see, and she was perfectly fine with that.
"This isn't much of an eventful day." A snort came from the blonde as she acknowledged her friend on the moveable next to her, fingers running through the heterogeneous fur of her beloved pet. A glance from the corner of her eye told her that he wore a rather bored frown. At first, the blonde thought it would be best not to respond, but she figured it would give her a chance to speak freely before hell started.
"What is even considered eventful anymore?" The boy began to count on his fingers to prove his point, his voice casually suggestive and head bobbing with every word. There came a heavy sigh from the male on the floor. He shot the girl a dirty look as if to say, 'You just had to get him going, didn't you?'
"A dead body, murder, poisoning, masochism, arsons-"
"Okay, okay, I get it." The teen shot her friend a pointed look with her eyebrow raised, chuckling a tiny bit with a small smile adorning her thin pale lips. The cat purred and rubbed against her arm, begging for more attention that the teen was glad to give. "Why do all of your ideas end with some type of massacre?" He smiled wolfishly down at her from where he sat, perched still on her bedside table, sitting cross crossed next to her analog clock. His black hair was messy and all over the place, not even bothering to use a comb. Not like he could, but he wouldn't anyway. It wasn't his style.
"My dear Charlotte, everything is better with some type of carnage involved. You should know that by now." His old accent not meaning any harm by the statement. Yet she only shook her head and, with a small sigh, continued to look out the now boring window. Her smile was still there, but only faintly as the memories began to plague her mind yet again. His eyes didn't leave her as he waited for her never-coming response. Charlotte's silence settling the room once more as they waited for nine O'clock.
"I applaud you for managing to depress her, Sewage Pipe. We almost made it till Nine." The male on the floor spoke in eloquent sarcasm as he turned the page, his uniform cut down the front at a diagonal. Charlotte's smile returned as she looked from the brown haired teen on the floor to the male on the furniture. The blackette whipped his head around as the last words as his sharp and loud tongue took effect.
"Cork it, Southern Boy!" A scoff rang as the uninformed male sat up, the book he was reading placed in his lap on the page he left off while he retorted as quickly, voice raising in volume.
"Yank!"
"Gal-Boy!"
"Jonah!"
"Grey Back!"
"William did not depress me, James, I would simply like a little peace and quiet right now. Just until I go, okay?" Her mumbled wishes were heard and listened to promptly, all name calling done with for now. James went back to his reading while William turned back to the window, starting with Charlotte. The silent feline laying fast asleep in Charlotte's lap, letting the last hour tick by.
