Your POV

Once we had finished out cold cucumber soup, Aunt Josephine pulled out a photo album. We all huddled around to look at them. They were of Aunt Josephine and Ike. There was one with a few others. Uncle Monty and the Baudelaire's parents. "Is that?" Klaus asked. "Uncle Monty" I finished. "Our parents" Violet added. "Was this a club?" Klaus asked. "Or secret organisation?" I added. "Why do you all have those spy glasses?" Klaus asmed. But without answering our questions she took the album back and put it back in its place. "Did Ike die in a fire?" Klaus asked, clearly not thinking about how this question might effect her. "no silly, he was eaten by leaches" she said plainly. We were all a bit taken back. She saw this a divided to take us to see her library. As we reached to door Sunny babbled "Delmo". Instantly Aunt Josephine spun around to look at her. "Delmo?" She asked. "I consider myself an expert on the English language and I have no idea what 'Delmo' means". "Oh, Sunny doesnt speak properly yet. Just baby talk mostly" Klaus explained. Sunny was very offended by this but before she could speak Aunt Josephine cut her off "well then I can see thar I will need to teach her proper English" the she lead us all into her library. Me and Klaus were extremely excited until we realized that every book was about grammar. As I was looking at the shelves and studying all the spines I heard a loud noise, I turned around to see Aunt Josephine opening the curtains to a large window. "Lake Lachrymose: I know every island in it's waters and every cave along its shores. All the way from the docks to Curdled Cave. All the way over there" she said proudly and pointed at a large cave. I noticed that she was holding Klaus' hand but when he quickly let go and grabbed mine instead. "Although, now I can only stand to look at it from afar. That's why I couldn't meet you at the docks: I'm too haunted by my past." She looked sadly to the floor. "Does this have anything to do with our parents?" Violet asked. "Certainly not, it had to do with my husband, Ike. He was my everything, and one of the few people I knew who could whistle with crackers in their mouths. His speciality was Beethoven's fourth string quartet." She said as she wiped her eyes. "Our mother could do that" Klaus said. "Yes, her speciality was Mozart's 14th symphony." Aunt Josephine said loudly. "Yeah, that's right" Violet said. "We were all friends; Ike, your parents and me, we would come to these shores to have picnics and to develop secret codes." She explained happily. "Our parents developed secret codes!" Klaus asked. "oh I'll never forget our last picnic" Aunt Josephine said, completely ignoring Klaus'question. "I told Ike to wait an hour before going into the water... But he only waited 45 minutes" she Bagan to sob. "What happened?" I asked. "Did he get cramps?" Klaus asked. "That's one reason why you should wait. But in lake Lachrymose, there's another: the Lachrymose leaches." She explained. "Lachrymose leeches have 6 layers of razor sharp teeth and one very sharp nose that can smell food from far, far away. They are usually harmless but when they smell food they will swarm and attack and-" she was cut off quite suddenly as she screamed. The map on the wall had rolled up, causing her to jump. "I'm so very sorry. It is grammaticality correct to end a sentence with 'and'." She apologized. "It's we're sorry for asking. We didn't mean to upset you" I said quickly. "Maybe you could move away" I suggested. "Oh no, I couldn't. I'm terrified of realtors" she explained. We all looked at each other, confessed. "But you said that you had answers for us?" Violet said slowly. "Oh, yes I do, thank you for reminding me" Aunt Josephine said as she lead us to look at an old book case. "Grammar" she exclaimed proudly. "Grammar?" Me and Klaus asked together. "Yes, grammar. The greatest joy in life, don't you find?" She asked. "Ummmm... Yes?" We all said, though of course Violet thought that the greatest joy in life was inventing, Sunny thought that it was biting and me and Klaus thought that it was reading. After Aunt Josephine explained her library to us, we all started talking again. "Have we got enough supplies for hurricane Herman?" I asked. "We'll go shopping now" Aunt Josephine said.

When we arrived we were surching for fruit when I grabbed at Klaus' sleave. I could see Count Olaf stood proudly on the dock. He looked at all of us. "Right beautys you are loves" he said, pointing his pipe at me, violet and Aunt Josephine. We instantly began talking over each other, trying to tell her who he really was. "Let me introduce myself-" Count Olaf began. "No, allow us to" I said. "Captin Sham" Count Olaf said as he kissed her hand. "He's lying" Klaus said loudly. "He's Count Olaf" he shouted. "Where?!" Aunt Josephine flailed. "Right in frount of you" Violet pointed. "Behind Captin Sham?" She asked, looking around him. "I am not going through this again!" Klaus shouted, tackling him to the ground and pulling down his trouser leg to reveal a peg leg. Me and Klaus both backed away. "But it's him" I said. "I'd know my own dad" I tried to explain but Aunt Josephine began to flirt with him. We all silently gaged. After a while she sent us back to her house, saying she'd walk the captin home.

Klaus' POV

When we arrived back at the house: me, my sister's and Y/N went up to our bedroom. "How did he do it?" Y/N asked. "I don't know" Violet said. I knew that she was scared. When Sunny fell asleep we talked again. "I won't let him hurt you, you know?" I reassured her. "In uncle Monty's house. He said that I was disposable, if I didn't help him take your fortune" she explained sadly. I felt my anger boil up. "you're not despossable. You're amazing, beautiful and perfect" I told her. I almost hadn't realised what I'd said. She pecked me on the cheek and thanked me. After a while Violet fell asleep too.

While everyone else slept, Y/N and I stayed up and read our book. We held each other tight and I wrapped my arm around her waist. It was perfect. We read at about the same speed and we had finished the book within a few hours. I closed it and placed it on my bedside table. I looked back at her, to see her beautiful eyes staring at me. I took a quick glance at her lip and we began to slowly lean in. Our lips finally met and my heart began beating so much faster. I had never troubled myself in romance books but it felt like something you would read in one, it was perfect. She placed her hand on the back of my head and ran her hand through my hair. I kept my hands on her hips as our lips moved perfectly together. When we finally pulled away we were both blushing. "Goodnight Klaus" she whispered and slowly collapsed into my arms. "Goodnight Y/N". Her breaths were calming and even. "I love you" I whispered, thinking she asleep. "I love you too" she quietly whispered.

When we awoke that morning we could feel a breeze coming from the library. When we opened to door we were met with a very wide window. "Aunt Josephine!" We all shouted at the same time. Oh no, not again.
