Sydney's P.O.V
I woke up the next moring and I threw jeans, a lace top and a leather jacket on and walked downstairs . Kat was asleep on the couch with a book in her hands . I smiled. I couldn't remember the last time I'd ever see her read a book and a book I liked too . It was a classic . Wuthering Heights ! Edward and I used to read it all the time . I grabbed the book and folded the page gently , before stting it on the table next to her and covering her up with a blanket and drawing the curtains shut so she could rest . I kissed her on the cheek and walked out and into my car .
I threw my bags down on the seat and floored it to school . When I got there , I saw Bonnie , Matt , Caroline , Tyler , Elena , and Stefan waiting in the parking lot . I pulled in and parked , before getting out and walking past them .
" Hey ! Sydney ! Wait up ! " Tyler called as he caught up with me with Matt at his side .
" Oh , hi . " I said .
" My mother loved how you sang at the Founder's Day Party and she was wondering if you wanted to be in the Founder's Day Parade . " Tyler asked , smiling .
" Uh .... " I said thoughtfully .
" Please . It would mean alot . " Tyler said .
" Yeah , and you were really good . " Matt added with a grin .
I smiled .
" Thank you , I'll do it . " I said .
" Great . It's this weekend after Miss Mystic Falls is announced , and Halloween is the following weekend , and then the weekend after that is the Decade Dance . " he said .
" Geez . " I said .
They laughed and the bell rang for class . I walked in silence to my Literature class and sat down in my seat in the back corner , right next to Stefan . It was the only seat left when I transfered earlier in the year .
" Okay , today , I will be assigning partners for a project . You and your partner must think of a favorite book and portray 2 of the lead characters in a scene from the book . The book must be a classic and you must have costumes ! It should be fairly easy . Alright ... Miss Gilbert and Mr. Donavan , Miss Forbes and Mr. Lockwood ..... " the teacher said and then she listed a bunch of other names finally she paused a moment and looked at Stefan .
" Mr. Salvatore , you and Miss Duckett will make a good pair . " she said , studying us .
I gulped and Stefan and I looked at each other .
" Tomarrow , come in and tell me what book you will be doing . The next day , you will come in dressed and you will perform your scenes in the gym on the stage in front of my other 3 classes . " said the teacher proudly .
We all looked stunned.
" Alright , class dismissed . " she said .
