Chapter 16

Sydney's P.O.V

The next morning , I threw on a leather skirt with a lacey white blouse .

I walked downstairs and Katherine was gone . I knew where she'd be , with Klaus . But I was content , Klaus liked ME more . Elijah and Klaus had been the first people to EVER like me more then Katherine. I thought it was only fair . I had no idea where Eljah was and I didn't know if I cared . 

Stefan's P.O.V

I decided I needed help and I called Edward . 

" Hello ? " someone said . 

" Is this Edward ? " I asked . 

" No , this is Rosalie , how can I help you? " she asked . 

" Well , it's about a girl . I don't know if you know her or not , her name is Sydney . " I said uncertain . 

" Sydney ? Sydney Petrova ? " Rosalie asked . 

" Yes . " I said . 

" What's wrong with her ? Is she alright ? " Rose asked , panicking .

" That's why I'm calling . I think she's lost her mind and I though Edward might be able too help . " I said . 

" We'll be on a plane in an hour . " Rose said and hung up . 

Damon walked out of his room shirtless . 

" What was that all about ? " he asked . 

" I called Edward to see if he could help and a woman named Rosalie picked up and said she'd be here in a couple of hours to help . " I explained . 

Damon looked suprised . 

A few hours after the call , Rosalie and Edward walked through the door with 3 bags .

" We're glad you could come . " I said . 

" Anything for Sydney . " Edward said . 

Rosalie nodded. 

" So what's wrong with her ? " Edward asked . 

" She's an insaneiac ! " Damon said . 

" Do you even know anything about her ? " Rosalie snapped . 

We were all silent . 

Rosalie sighed . 

" What I'm about to tell you is the Story of Sydney Petrova ." Rosalie said .

The year was 1476 . A baby girl was born to a poor Bulgarian family .  They named her Sydney Serena Petrova . Sydney grew up in the shadow of her older sister , Katerina . Her father was always comparing the two and Sydney always fell short of his expectations . When Sydney was 15 years old and Katerina was 16 , Katerina had a child with a man out of wedlock . The child was taken away from her and Katerina had succesfully tarnished the Petrova family name and she was exiled to England .2 years passed and Sydney turned 17 . In those two years , her father had only grown more resentful of her , for reminding him of Katerina's betrayl . Her father would get drunk and take out his rage on his only remaining daughter . At 17 years old , Sydney decided she had enough and she ran away in search of Katerina . When she arrived in England , she searched all over , but she was to late .Katerina had been turned into a vampire . While looking for her sister , Sydney ended up at a ball .During the ball , she met Lord Klaus and Lord Elijah . They were very taken with her and even more facinated that she was of Petrova blood . Elijah fell in love with her .. and so did Klaus . Klaus decided that he'd rather be selfish , then to let Sydney go and one night , he turned her into a vampire . Sydney woke up undead and she saw Klaus and ran . She ran all the way back to Bulgaria and as soon as she ran into her old house , she gasped and fell to the ground . Blood . Blood everywhere . Klaus had beaten her there and he had made her sorry for running . Her family laid slaughtered before her . She cried and she wailed and then suddenly she felt arms around her. It was Elijah . He wiped away her tears . 

" Shhh ... I won't let him hurt you anymore , Sydney . No more . " he said . 

For the next 300 years , the trio traveled the world causing chaos . Sydney Petrova became the 2nd most feared name on the map , right behind Klaus . 

Sydney was supposed to be with Klaus , but she was also seen often with Elijah . She said she cared about them both . They were reffered to as the court of darkness . Klaus was the king, Sydney was the queen , Elijah was the prince , and for awhile , Katherine was the princess . Sydney was chosen over Katherine because she was better , stronger , smarter and faster . Sydney was also more evil then Katherine by a landslide . She made Katherine look like a saint and that's why Klaus loved and treasured her . Elijah fell in love with her vaulnerable side . Much like you , Stefan . 

Sydney decided she was tiered of being bad and she ran again . Elijah has never forgiven her for leaving him . I think you know what happened next ... she showed up in Mystic Falls and fell in love with stefan salvatore .
