Past Meets Past (2)

Chapter 27

* Sydney *

It's been a few days since the birth of my goddaughter , Renesme and she grows faster then a usual human. She also has the ability to place memories and thoughts into people's mind.  Bella could wake up at anytime and Edward is prepared . He hasn't left her room , waiting for the slightest flutter of her eyelids . That faithful flutter came that afternoon while Jacob was holding Renesme . Stefan and I were sitting together on the couch , supervising to make sure he was being gentle with her. Not that we had to do that . Just because it made Edward feel better . 

" She's awake . " Alice said , walking downstairs with a smile . 
" She went on her first hunt with Edward . " Jasper added with a chuckle .

" Bella won't like what you called her child . " Rosalie said , pulling Nessie away from Jacob's lap .

Jacob shot her a glare . 
" Yeah right . She'll be fine with it ." he said .

I looked at Stefan, who just rolled his eyes .

Bella and Edward came back from thier hunt and as expected , Bella was angry that Jacob had nicknamed her baby after the Lock Ness Monster . She went after him , stalking him into the yard where she was going to hurt him .I looked at Edward , waiting for him to stop her  , but he was to busy laughing . I sighed and jumped down fro the porch , landing on my feet easily as I walked over . 
" Bella, maybe you should calm down ." I suggested .

She shot me a glare and went at Jacob again . She lunged and Seth ran to get her punishment instead of Jacob. Not wanting to see Seth get hurt , I jumped in the way , getting thrown through about 6 trees until I fell to the ground .

" DAMMIT ! " I hissed .

" Oh my God ! I'm so sorry, Sydney ! " Bella exclaimed suddenly remorseful.

" Are you alright ?! " Edward said , finally stopping his laughter .

Stefan was about to blurr over to my side , but I jumped up and dusted myself off. 
" That'll leave a mark where I should never have a mark . " I said, rubbing my butt where I'd fallen .

Emmett roared with laughter and I shot him a glare .I looked over at Seth and he put his head down ashamed , still in his wolf form . I sighed and scratched his head gently . 
" No problem , Fido . " I murmered . 

He licked my hand and I made a disgusted look , feeling the slobber . I turned to Jacob , shaking my head .

" Next time , pick a better nickname . " I snapped , rubbing my ass as I walked back up to the porch , cussing under my breath as I walked inside .

Emmett and Jasper laughed and followed me in . As soon as we walked in , Alice dropped a vase of flowers . 
" What is it Alice ? " Jasper said , blurring over to her , suddenly serious . 
"It's the Voulturi . They're coming for Renesme. " she said fearfully.

" What are we going to do ? " Esme asked , now that the family was once again gathered inside .

" We're going to die . " Alice whispered .

I looked at Stefan , grabbing his hand .

" No we're not . Maybe if we have enough witnesses , we can save her . " Edward suggested .

Everyone looked at Stefan and I . Stefan cleared his throat , wrapping an arm around my waist . 
" We will fight with you . " I murmered , looking down .

" Are you sure ? " Bella asked .

I looked up and nodded . 
" Yes . "

" And we might be able to round up some witnesses of our own . " Stefan added .

I looked up at him and smiled thankfully .

" That's true . " I said , agreeing .
" The packs will fight. " Jacob said . 

" We will set out looking for more witnesses as soon as possible . " Carlisle said.

I looked up at Stefan once more. 
" I'll call Katherine . I think I know someone who can help . " I muttered , pulling him upstairs .

I pulled out my phone and started dialing numbers as Stefan packed our things . After I'd rounded up some volenteers , I decided it would be best to go back to Mystic Falls for a little while. We said our goodbyes and drove to the airport , once again boarding a plane . We got back to Mystic Falls and immediately filled Damon and Katherine in on what was going on. Within 3 days after we left , we were back in Forks with Katherine, Damon , Rebekah , Elijah , Kol , Finn, Sage , Caroline , and Tyler . We were ready for anything .
