The University Festival falls on February, more specifically, the week where Valentine’s Day falls. Kongpob has a little bit of dilemma; he will surely be busy that week with all the preparations that they’re doing now, and how will he celebrate that day with his lover. He’s not sure about letting Maprang and Prepailin handle their costumes but no one has presented so he trusts them about that matter. Most of the guys from their batch are in charge of the hard works in order to establish the café.
Kongpob is excited. This will be his first University Festival and he’ll surely make the most out of it. More importantly, this will be his first Valentine’s Day with his boyfriend, Arthit. He hasn’t talked about what they would do on that day with Arthit, so he decides to plan for the both of them. He just hopes that Arthit would like whatever he does.
He thinks of making a reservation on one of the pricier restaurants, he could ask his father about certain places. He has thought of just decorating his dorm room since they’ll be in the school grounds that week, with balloons and roses and home cooked meal. They could enjoy their night just the two of them. He thinks of just watching the stars as they have their dinner because anywhere is fine if he’s with Arthit.
All these festival preparations, Valentine’s Day planning, together with their classes, assignments and deadlines is making his head hurt.
Their class is almost over and Kongpob elbows his best friend. One more nod and Aim will smack his face on the desk. He’s not sure how Aim has the guts to sleep when they’re dealing with complicated Math. But then again, most would probably fall asleep just by seeing numbers.
He’s excited to get out of this class. It’s one of those rare days where the third years will be on campus. Arthit told him that they have to submit papers on top of their projects and case studies. Kongpob doesn’t know how his boyfriend does it, just hearing about the things that Arthit is doing is making him tired.
When their professor lets them off he wakes Aim up who stretches and gets up together with his friends. They have free time before their next class and the girls decides to go to the cafeteria to plan some more. Tew excuses himself because he has to report to the seniors about the festival progress, Wad is nowhere to be found, Oak goes off to god knows where, so he’s stuck with his best friend who’s still seem to be in a daze.
They head to the lounges where Kongpob spots his seniors. He smiles immediately, Arthit has his back on him, and none of the seniors has seen him yet.
He can hear obnoxious laughing. If you are part of the Engineering faculty then you should be used to the ruckus this crazy senior gang does every time. The other students from other faculty don’t get their antics, some say they’re crazy – which is true, but the entirety of the Engineering faculty gets them. One is bound to lose their mind when studying engineering.
Kongpob shakes his head. He’s thankful that this bunch welcomed him with open arms, he’s grateful that they’re supportive with his relationship with Arthit.
As usual, Bright and Toota are on one of their patented epic arguments. On what their argument is about is beyond Kongpob, it can be as shallow as Bright’s fart or something.
The gang is too busy to notice them as they come nearer.
“I need to find a date this Valentine’s Day!” he hears Toota whine.
“No one will date your fat ass, you fat ass!” Bright exclaims.
“My ass IS fat thank you for noticing,” Toota doesn’t seem to mind the insult. Toota then notices the both of them and smirks, “Not everyone can be lucky with a date unlike our friend here.”
