Althea Nine: Safe, or not

Althea Nine:

They led us inside their wall, it seemed to be made of concrete of in reality it was mettle. They had us take showers in a room that seemed like the showers from the school's locker room. When you start to head out to the pools. The boys, then Nova and I took turns. Nova and I took one first them the boys went in there together.

They gave us clothing, but they were so serious. I was guessing we're all going to be testing on, and I was right. They led us to what seemed like a slighter better version of a prison cell. It had a comfortable large looking bed, a toilet and a sink. Nova and I were put into the same small cell, Stark and Buki were too. Si was led off to his own though.

They took blood samples, and swabs of our salvia.

"Seems like these people mean business," Nova said.

"Ya, that's what it seems. But try to put yourself in their shoes, they find five teenagers whom might be carrying a deadly virus that could wipe out humanity itself," I said. We heard a ringing sound and a door opened that led from our cell into the hallway.

A person wearing a white lab coat came thru the opening. She had long purple hair, and she looked almost blind with white eyes. She was holding a clipboard and a pen.

"Your all so lucky," she told us, she said the word lucky really high pitched."You all must be immune then or your all like lab rats that can carry viruses around."

"Excuse me," Nova said loudly jumping up.

"Extreme anger," the girl told us scribbling down on her clipboard.

"That's not because of this so called virus, that's just Nova," I said crossing my arms,"but explain what you just said before my associate hurts you."

"You all have the virus running thru your veins, but also a immunity. All of the people who have come into contact with you, thirty minutes later started having a craving for human flesh, they all then proceeded to eat each other. We of course contained them," she replied with a weird smile.

"Why are you in here then?" Nova asked changing her attitude completely from angry to worried.

"I have injected myself with cure 1, it was nothing more than your blood. I want to see if it will kill me or make me immune or if i will turn into one of the things you'd call a drencher," she told us smiling, she seemed to be happy about this but in a weird way.

"I can bite you," Nova suggested.

"Why, are you having an craving for human blood or flesh," she asked happily, but again I couldn't describe it. It's in such a weird way.

"No, but speaking of cravings. Can I have some chocolate," Nova asked.

"You've never liked chocolate," I said looking at Nova.

"Interesting," the scientist mumbled. She was standing in the doorway from where the door would open and close mechanically.

She fell to her hands and knees, the clipboard clanked on the ground. Blood came spurting out of her mouth and the same liquid that comes off the drenchers started pouring from her skin. Her skin started changing color, to a sort of grey.

My heart started pounding as she or as I should say it stood back up, but instead of setting its sights on us it turned around and walked into the hallway. It was shot dozens of times, the fire guns echoed thru the building. All the bullets did to the Drencher that was once human was make it steam. Its wounds started healing themselves, every bullet hole was steaming making it look like a fire was just set and that was the fire's smoke. The hair that was once there seemed to almost as if burn away off the Drencher's scalp.

A soldier came close, too close, the drencher pounced on them ripping their neck out. It seems the neck is the main place to attack to for these Drenchers.

"Help... Help..." the drencher said in a raspy voice, the drencher looked at Nova and I."Help... Help... Kill... Eat children... We have a feast... Waiting on us."

Nova took a step back in terror,"they can speak, and not just from mockery."

"These are intelligent beings, unload all of your bullets, kill it!" A captain yelled from the hallway. Soldiers appeared from the other side of this thing, they had it surrounded.

Si was on the cell across from us, then Stark and Buki were in the one next to him.

"I'm immune anyway," Si said. He tackled this Drencher, seeming to try to hold its neck so he could hit it's collar bone.

"Children... You have not ... Learned..." the Drencher rasped out before Si hit it's collar bone almost perfectly. His hand sliced thru this things chest like it was nothing more than water. Si stood up and stepped off the Drencher looking up at Nova and I.

"Are you ok?" he asked.

"Are we... You just tackled a dead thing and you ask if we're alright," Nova screamed. I put my hand over Nova's mouth before she could scream out anymore.

"We are fine, are you?" I asked.

"I think so," Si said looking down at his hands then up his arms seeming to search himself for wounds. He seemed like his front was covered in water but it was the liquid that the drenchers ooze. My mind had been elsewhere until I remembered about the soldier that was killed but most dangerously bit.

My eyes everted to the once still corpse. It jumped off the ground, grey skin, no helmet, large mouth. It ran up to the team that was trying to kill all the drenchers and tore one's neck in. Then jumped to another, then another. The soldiers didn't even have time to react. The bit soldiers jumping up and biting more, this seems to be the end of this military.

"In the movies the military is always taken down," Si said,"reality is no different."
