The book is set in Seattle. Jughead is from Seattle and has lived here all his life. When he was 19, he joined the army and is in troop 738. Jughead is 24 and lives in an apartment with Fangs (when he's not at war that is.) Fangs is an architect and has known Jug since they were little as they grew up like family as their parents are very close.
Betty is from Riverdale she moved to Seattle with Veronica and Kevin as she felt she needed a fresh start. Kevin owns a book store that his grandma left him and as Betty wanted a new start, she decided to go with him and Veronica decided to move with to as she also felt like a new start was needed so all three moved together and instead of moving and having Betty and Veronica look for a job Kevin thought that there would be nothing better than having his two best friends work with him.
