Chapter 10

Betty POV

Me and Jughead had just landed in Riverdale. We left the apartment on got into our higher car and I started to drive to my parents house. My sister Polly had text me telling me to make sure I was there soon because she was getting dragged into barking cookies with mom and that usually ends up in hour lectures on how to properly butter a pan. So I was full of pity for Polly right now. I was driving and as we drove around Riverdale to my parents house I saw things that brought back child memories. Like Sweetwater River. Me Polly and Chic used to swim there all the time in the summer. I drove to my parents house and when we got there I pulled into the drive way and stopped the engine before turning to Jughead.

"Your sure you wan to do this? My parents can be a hand full and because your a solider and what happens to Chic they'll be extra hard on you and I don't want them to overwhelm you and for them to scare you of because...." he cut me off by placing both hands on my cheeks and bringing each in for a kiss when we pull away he places our foreheads together keeping both hands on my face "Betty nothing could ever scare me away. I'm positive I want to do this. Look Betty we've been dating for about a month now and it may be soon but......I love you and nothing can change that."

"Juggie......" I start but I couldn't get any other works out and I just felt tears run down my face he closed his eyes and sighed and pulled completely away and leaned his head on the head rest as he looked up at the car ceiling and with his eyes still closed he said "I ruined it didn't I? I just ruined what we have/had." He said looking at me I was in shock and I didn't know what to say I just sat there and looked into his eyes he took a deep breath and sighed then said "it's fine its not the first time me telling someone how I feel has ruined a relationship. I was 19 it was a week before I joined the army. I was with my first girlfriend and I told her I loved her and she said she couldn't deal with the constant stress of me. Then she broke up with me. That was the first and only other time I told someone I was dating I loved them and now I've done it agin. I'm starting to think I should never tell anyone I love them again because it just seems to ruin everything." He said breathing out and I saw a tear slide down his cheek as he looked up at the ceiling and closed his eyes. I unclipped my seat belt and climbed onto his lap so I was straddling him and he looked at me I kissed him passionately and he kissed back I pulled away and rested my forehead on his and placed my hands on his cheeks and caressed one with my thumb and wiped his tear away. "Juggie i was shocked I didn't know what to say. I love you too." I said kissing him again I got of his lap and we both got out the car and grabbed the bags then we walked up to the door hand in hand and I intertwined our fingers and we both took a deep breath.

"Ready?"

"Ye. Are you?" I nod and give him a peak on the cheek and knock on the door.
