Chapter 45

I'm just going to skip to Jughead getting back.

Betty POV

Jughead is coming back today. Matthew is now 1 and he's getting good at walking he can only say a few words that are dada, mama, book ,toy and food about a month ago he realised he could take Jugheads beanie off of the teddy and he started wearing it and carrying round the teddy everywhere. The baby is now at 5 months and they said it's healthy. Today along with Jughead coming back we get to find out the gender he still doesn't about the baby I'm planing on surprising him. I got up and got changed into a pair of my black maternity jeans and a baggy grey sweatshirt that covered my bump which is noticeable but not with this sweatshirt on. I tied my hair into a ponytail and then I heard Matthew shouting "Mama!!" I chuckled and walked into his room and picked him up.

"Good morning Matty. You know what it is today." I said smiling "Today your dada comes home."

"Dada!!" He said smiling and bouncing in my arms.

"Careful." I said chuckling. I walked into the kitchen and put him in his high chair and made him some oatmeal I fed him then went and got him changed. Then I put Jugheads beanie on Matthew and he smiled at me. I handed him his teddy and sat him on the couch next to me. He climbed off and sat on the floor and started to play with his toys. Why I was sat in the couch the baby started to kick so I rubbed circles on stomach.

A couple hours later I changed Matthew's dipper and grabbed his dipper bag and everything and then I put him in his car seat in the jeep. I got in the driver seat and put my seatbelt on.

"You ready Matthew?"

"Dada!" He said putting his arms in the air. I chuckled and started to drive.

Once I got there there was quite a few people there waiting for other people. I got Matthew out of his seat and walked over to the sidewalk and waited. I put Matthew down and he stood next to me and held my hand. About two minutes later the bus pulled in. Then the doors opened and soldiers stories get off of the bus. I was looking out for Jug then I saw him get off my smile widened and he threw his bag over his shoulders and looked around. He locked eyes with me and smiled. He started to walk over to us then Matthew saw him.

"Dada!!" He shouted and Jughead who wasn't to far away crouched down and Matthew let go of my hand walked as fast and he could to Jug.

Jughead POV

I got off of the bus and threw my bag on my back. I looked around and looked for Betty. Then I saw her she looked as beautiful as ever and she was holding Matthew's hand as he stood next to her and he was wearing my beanie and he looked adorable. I smiled and stared to walk towards her then I heard Matthew shout.

"Dada!!" He shouted and I crouched down and held my arms out and he let go of Betty's hand and walked as fast as he could to me why he was smiling. Then as he got to me I hugged him and picked him up.

"Hey buddy." I said smiling.

"Dada!" He said hugging me and I had tears in my eyes. I kissed his forehead and put my hand on the back off his head as I did so.

"I missed you buddy look how big you are!" I said chuckling .

"Food!" He said smiling.

"Wow. Should we go to mommy?"

"Mama!" He said and I hugged him and he put his head on my shoulder as I walked towards Betty and immediately pulled her into a passionate kiss. When I pulled away I pulled her into a hug and she buried her head into the crock of my neck.

"Hey love." I said and she chuckled.

"Hi Juggie. I missed you."

"I missed you too." I said pulling away a little and she had tears running down her face. "Hey. What's this?" I said reaching up and wiping her tears with my thumb.

"I'm just happy."

"Me too." I said kissing her softly then I looked at Matthew. "I missed you too." I said smiling and I tickle his tummy with the hand that wasn't holding him up and he giggled making me and Betts smile.

"Let's go home." I said smiling and wrapping my other arm around her shoulders and we walked towards the jeep. I put Matthew in his car seat then threw my bag into the back. Then Betty got in the drivers seat and I sat in the passenger seat.
"Are you sure you don't want me to drive?"

"Positive." She said smiling. Then Betty started to drive and me and Betty started to talk. A while later Betty pulled into a car park. I looked up and saw we where in the doctors car park.

"Hey Betts What we doing here?" I said looking over at Betty and she just got out of the car and walked round to my side and when to get Matthew out I got out as well and stood in front of her.

"Betts? Do you or Matthew have a check up or something?"

"There is a check up but it's not for Matthew or me." She said smiling and I just looked at her confused. She just lifted her sweatshirt up exposing her stomach. I looked down and saw her stomach was rounded. I placed my hand on her stomach and I felt a kick hit my hand I smiled and then I looked at her. Then I realised if I've been gone for 4 months and she didn't tell me she was pregnant is it mine? I took my hand off of her stomach and just looked at her.

"Betts?"

"Mmm?"

"Is it mine?" I ask nervously.

"Yes it's yours. I'm 5 months."

"Wait so do you know if it's a......"

"That's why were here. Now come on we don't want to be late." She said smiling I leaned down and crashed my lips into hers and kissed her passionately. She pulled away and I opened the door and got Matthew out of the car. I held Matthew in one arm and held Betty's hand and we walked into the doctors. Betty walked over to the front desk and I sat down in the waiting room with Matthew sat on my knees facing me. I tickled his stomach and he giggled again. Then Betty walked over and sat next to me.

"Are you ok Jug?"

"Yeah I'm excited I can't wait till we have another baby with you." I said smiling and I kissed her softly. A little while later Betty's name was called and we stood up and walked into the room. The doctor told Betty to lay down and she did. I sat in the chair next to the table south Matthew on my knees.

"Ok so Betty I need you to lift your top up." The doctor said and she did and the doctor put the gel on her stomach. I held her hand and kept Matthew on my knee as he played with my other hand. Then the doctor started to move the ultrasound gun around on Betty's stomach then the baby appeared on the screen.

"Ok everything looks good. Would you like to know the gender?" The doctor said.

"Yes please." Betty said squeezing my hand.

"Ok. It's a boy." The doctor said smiling.

"Another boy Betts." I said and I kissed her hand softly.

"I'm never going to have a girl am I." Betty said chuckling.

"Maybe next time Betts." I said kissing her hand again.
