Ashton pov: Purposely, Harry and I haven’t been able to skype in two weeks. I did it so I wouldn’t slip about my surprise. “I can not believe you’re busy today. I love you, happy one year baby.” Harry sent. Guilt shot through me for a moment only, as I turned airplane mode off. Harry had sent me the text earlier today which I didn’t reply to. Out if sight I took a different route to my awaiting taxi. Once I made it to the hotel I spotted Liam in the lobby. “Harry down here?” He shook his head and gave me his room number. I walked up and knocked on the door. Niall opened it and I became confused. He gasped and hugged me. “Harry’s so upset, go.” He smiled and I walked back into the hotel room. I heard the sink run meaning he was in the bathroom. I ran and laid on the bed. He came out and walked with his head down toward me. He pulled the covers up and I jumped out of them. “Boo!” I giggled. Harry’s hands flew to his chest and he gasped loudly. After a few seconds he smiled and tackled me to the bed. “I’ve” kiss, “missed,” kiss, “you.” Kiss. I smiled and wrapped my arms around him. “What the hell babe?! You had me all upset I couldn’t be with you!” I smiled. “Happy anniversary?” I couldn’t help the laugh bursting through my lips. “Happy anniversary.” He grumbled into my neck making me laugh again. Two whole months without him was complete torture. “Have you found all the sticky notes?” I thought for a moment then smiled. “I found the one in my underwear drawer, the one on my mirror, the one behind the toothpaste, the one in the bread cabinet, the one in the first pantry and the one behind the couch.” He smiled. “There’s still plenty more.” I smiled and leaned up to kiss his lips. “I’ve been so miserable! Loser…” He tried to insult me and failed miserably. “I’m sorry. When I landed you had called me like four times and I couldn’t call back. I knew I’d accidentally tell you!” I defended and wrapped my limbs around his. “Want to walk around the lovely Florida beach with me?” He asked. I nodded. “Baby trust me when I say you don’t want jeans.” I nodded and changed into shorts. My sunglasses sat on top of my head before the tight bun. He grabbed my hand and we walked out of the hotel. My feet seems to squish down the sand with every step I took. “It’s so beautiful here. Sometimes I wish London was warm like this. But I also quite enjoy the cold. Oh well.” I smiled. “I was ready to put your gift in the mail.” “You didn’t have to get me anything.” I blushed. He simply nodded and pulled a long box from his pocket. He opened it revealing a simple silver necklace with an “H” on it in a fancy font. I smiled. “It’s beautiful. Thank you.” I turned so he could put it around my neck. “Okay well mines back at the room but I’ll just tell you, okay?” He nodded. “You know those brand new ray-bans?” He nodded, a smile forming on his face. “I got those for you and they even engraved your name on the inside of the left side.” Harry smiled widely. “Baby those were expensive!” “Modeling pays too, Harold.” I laughed at my own words. “Well thank you for them then. Can’t wait to wear them.” I smiled up at him and he leaned down to kiss me. I was feeling cheeky so I decided to spin around and make a run for it. “Hey! Not fair!” Harry yelled desperately. I was laughing and running down the beach. Mostly in front of a bunch of old people. “You’ll never get me!” I squealed. “Oh yes I will, love.” The harder I laughed the slower I got. Finally arms wrapped around my waist and spun me around. He put his forehead against mine and said, “Got you.” I smiled and got on my tip toes to kiss him. “Aw, what a lovely couple.” An old woman said. I blushed pulling away from Harry. “My husband and I use to play on the beach all the time. We had a beach house and we were constantly out on the beach. We even spent some nights out here..” I smiled, my arms still wrapped around Harry. “We had some great times. Now he’s inside the house over there eating Doritos and watching the game. Pretty pale now.” I laughed at the woman. A man with a beer gut came out in shorts and a white shirt to sit next to her. “Sorry, I didn’t miss the sunset did I?” I smiled widely and the same woman said, “Nope, just made it.” I sat down on the sand and pulled Harry next to me. We watched the sun go down in awe. When we stood up the woman had one more thing to say. “We’ve done this every night for thirty years. It kept us strong. Even when we fought, we’d go out at the same time and it brought us back together.” I smiled and waved goodbye while we walked away. “How cute was that?” I asked. Harry smiled and laced our fingers together. “Very.” “I want to be like that one day.” I thought out loud. Harry smiled. “I promise, you’ll get it one day. You deserve it.” I smiled and leaned against him as we walked. His arm draped over my shoulder holding my left hand from the front and my right arm wrapped around his waist. “I’ll take you to a nice dinner tomorrow, yeah?” I nodded. “Sure. As long as I get to spend time with you. I don’t have all the time in the world here.” I smiled. We made it back go the hotel before it got too dark and got ready for bed. “Off tomorrow?” I asked. “Yep, me, you, and a nice dinner. I fancy that.” I smiled. Harry pov: I couldn’t get up even if I wanted to. Ashton had moved on top of me at one point during the night. Not complaining though. Her body wore underwear and my t-shirt that almost reached her knees. The shirt had rolled up by now, though. It’s not that she weighed me down, I just couldn’t wake her up. I wish she’d get up because I want to start her day. As if on cue, I felt her twitch and her arms stretched out. She squinted up at me and I smiled. In a year we’ve done so much together. If this isn’t love I don’t know what is. I’ve got to ask her to be with me forever soon. Can’t find the confidence. Not sure if she’ll think it’s too soon. “You look so cute when you’re tired and you have my shirt on.” She smiled tiredly. “Your voice sounds really rough in the morning.” She said barley audible but I laughed. “Thanks?” She laughed landing her head back on my chest. “I don’t wanna get up..” She groaned. “You gottaaa.” I laughed kissing her head. She groaned and trudged to the bathroom. By what I heard she took a shower. We roamed the beach for a few hours while the boys got things ready on top of the hotel. “Why is it so important that I dress nice? We’ve walked around on the beach. Do you want me to get a funny tan or something?” She laughed. I shook my head and looked at the time. “Let’s go back up.” I took her hand and we walked back to the hotel while I texted the boys. I pressed the button when she looked away. I watched as her expression turned confused as we passed the third floor. “Um, Harry, we passed our floor.” She said. “I know.” We finally reached the top and I led her out. A table with a red table cloth sat in the middle of the roof. A single red rose in the middle of the table in a clear vase made her smile. I led her to the table and pulled out the chair for her. “This is why you had to wear the dress.” I smiled. I tried so sound normal but for some reason I was nervous. I think she could tell because she grabbed my hand across the table. She giggled when Liam came out with a fake mustache. “What shall I get you tonight madam and sir?” The accent was hilarious. “Whats on the menu?” She asked, amused. “Um, fish sticks, macaroni and pizza.” She laughed out loud and had to cover her mouth. “Macaroni sounds great.” By now I had to be tomato red. What a dinner date.. “Uh, same.” I said forcing a smile. “Well, I thought this would be more elegant..” I said quietly, also quite embarrassed. She smiled. “I think it’s perfect.” She assured me. Niall came out with our food, also in a waiters outfit. “Looking good Nialler.” She smiled up at him. Once we were done eating the macaroni Louis and Zayn came out with a piano. Zayn sang and Louis began on the piano. “May I have this dance?” I asked playfully. “You certainly may.” She smiled and took my outstretched hand. Her arms wrapped around my neck and mine went to her waist. They played around three songs before ending. Ashton was smiling wide. “Thanks boys.” I said with my arms still around her. They nodded and walked off into the elevator. Ashton smiled up at me and leaned up for a kiss. Ashton pov: My heart was racing, my mind going a million miles an hour. If that’s a wedding ring I’ll feel so bad I wouldn’t be able to say no even though I wouldn’t mean yes. I think he could sense my nervousness so he made eye contact with me. “’S not a wedding ring, love.” He laughed. I let out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding. “Not yet anyhow. Um, it’s a promise ring, yeah. And I wanted to know if uh, you wanted it. Cos um,-” I interrupted him before he could finish his nervous speech. “I’ll take it.” He smiled and put it on my finger. I kissed him one last time before we headed over to the elevator. When it opened all of the boys jumped out and I screamed and latched on to Harry. They were in a laughing fit. “A-Ashton your face!” Louis laughed loudly. I shoved him away and Harry couldn’t help but laugh. “I’ll stay up here and clean up. Go ahead down.” Harry kissed my forehead and I got into the elevator with four idiots. “I hate you all for scaring me.” I laughed. Niall brought me into a rough hug and messed up my hair. “Hey, while you’re on the road with us you’ve got to know what goes on.” I pushed him away and we finally got to our floor. After I showered Harry was already back and I got dressed. I giggled when Harry pressed me to the bed and kissed all over my face. Things began to get heated and as much as I wanted to rip his clothes off I didn’t want to. I don’t know what in me stopped me, but I had to stop it before the situation went too far. “S-sorry I’m just…sorry..” I couldn’t find a reason but he seemed to understand. He smiled and kissed my cheek and got off of me. “How about we cuddle, yeah?” Harry asked.
