Harry pov: Ashton had ironed and helped me with my clothes. She wore a dark green high low dress. Once we were both ready we got into my car. The funeral home was two hours away and Ashton looked like she could fall asleep at any second. “It’s two hours away. You’ve been up all morning, take a nap.” She simply nodded and turned toward the window pulling her feet up on the seat. Her hair was straight and she had a brown bobby pin to hold it back. It was cloudy and looked like it was going to rain. The radio played quiet music for two hours and I sighed. We arrived and I woke up Ashton. The first people we saw walking in was my mum and Gemma. My mum hugged me and I saw Ashton hug Gemma. Then we switched. I hugged Gemma and Ashton hugged mum. We noticed a slide show and walked over. “Is that her?” Ashton asked. My mum nodded. It was a picture of my grandma when she was a teenager, black and white. “Wow, she’s gorgeous…” Ashton said. I held her hand and she smiled up at me. “Gemma you resemble her a lot.” Ashton said and Gemma nodded smiling. We were called to sit down for the ceremony to begin. The man said things about her family and home life and how successful she was in her past. How she was in Broadway and all that. (let’s just pretend ok). They read bible passages and things that made my throat clench. If I opened my mouth I’d surely bawl. They asked if anyone had anything to say. My mum went up and I took a deep breath. I wasn’t sobbing, but I’d be lying if I said tears were not coming out of my eyes. After my mum was finished they called over my mum, Gemma and myself. Ashton stayed behind when I tried to bring her with me. “These were by her hospital bed in a box. Written three days before she died. This one is for Anne, one for Harry and one for Gemma.” He handed us a piece of notebook paper folded neatly inside of an envelope. “Are you going to come to the burial?” My mum asked. I nodded. We walked outside and it Ashton immediately began to shiver. Her strapless dress left her with complete coldness. My blazer and long sleeve shirt kept me warm so I took my blazer off and put it over her shoulders. “Harry, you need it.” She tried to give it back but I shook my head. “Please just wear it. This is long sleeve. Plus I have pants on.” She thanked me and my mom awed over the cute act. I rolled my eyes and led Ashton back to the car. After watching the casket go down I decided to wait until people left. My mom waved and smiled sympathetically toward me. I nodded and she turned around. third person pov. This is different for me so bear with me. After everyone left Harry decided it was a good time to read the note. “Can I read it out loud?” Harry asked. Ashton was confused over the question but said yes. “Dear Harry. I hate knowing that during your huge success that I’ll be gone soon.” Harry took in a large breath trying to control himself. “I just want to let you know that I love you so much. My curly haired baby teenager is all grown up now. Please promise me you won’t get into too much trouble.” Harry had to stop again to breath. The letter had a whole paragraph on how proud of him she was. “Ashton, the girl you’re engaged to, promise you’ll keep her. She puts a spark in your eyes, Hazzy.” Ashton whispered something unnoticeable and covered her own mouth. Tears were dripping on the paper and Harry had to take a break. “And I just want you to know, the last thing I plan on listening to, right after I finish this, is my favorite song. You know what it is. Gotta Be You. Your voice is amazing, Hazzy. Oh my God.” The last part wasn’t written. Harry was in shock. Harry dropped the paper and sobs controlled his body. His legs could hold him no longer. Ashton immediately kneeled next to him and hugged him while he cried. She still had Harry’s black blazer on and she tried to keep Harry warm as well. She gave him a few minutes to cry then she stood up. “Come on, you don’t want to sit in the cold all night, do ya? We can go home, get in comfy clothes and sleep. You look like you need sleep.” Ashton pov: I kept my arm around Harry’s waist as we walked out to the car. It was a long while away. “I just can’t believe she said that…my song was the last thing she listened to..I just…” Harry sighed and slowed his pace. We were now in the parking lot. “It’s okay. The letter was a good thing, baby. Your music made her happy and you know it. She always had your albums on her CD player and she’d go nuts when songs came on the radio. I know it shocks you but, that’s just what happens I guess. She wouldn’t want you to be sad for so long, you know that. Everything is going to be okay.” I put my hands on his cheeks and wiped tears away. His beautiful face held a few freckles here and there, blemishes and redness. I smiled and let him straighten back up before hugging him again. We were now leant against the car. His bum pressed against the car and I hugged him. “Okay, let’s get into the car now.” Harry blurted out and I pulled away, slightly hurt. “Sorry?..” I went to walk around the car and Harry stopped me. “Paparazzi are everywhere okay? I still want to hug you.” He said making me smile. We both got in the car and locked the doors. Harry drove away, hand intertwined with mine and past the flashes of cameras. I had forced myself to stay awake through the two hour ride back home. It was dark by the time we got home. Today was super emotional for Harry and I’ve never seen him like that. Only when he found out. I’m glad that through all of it, he hadn’t pushed me away. We made it inside through the pouring rain. Silently we changed into pajamas. Harry came and stood next to me as I took my makeup off. He brushed his teeth then left. I pulled my hair up, brushed my teeth and joined him in his bed. “I just want you to know that I love you so much.” I reminded him, my fuzzy pajama pants rubbing against his legs while I wrapped mine around him. “I love you too. Thank you for being here for me always. I appreciate you so much you have no idea. I’m so lucky I have you.” I smiled and kissed Harry’s lips. Harry pov: I had gotten up extra early and made pancakes. In chocolate syrup I wrote, “Move in with me?” I smiled at my hard work and she came down the steps, rubbing her eyes in the process. She was so adorable in the morning. Never caring how lopsided her hair was or how the shirt she had worn to bed, which was usually mine, fell down her shoulder and her fuzzy slippers made her look like a child. “I made breakfast, baby.” I said kissing her forehead. She hugged me for a minute then sat down in her usual spot. She grabbed whipped cream and syrup then noticed the writing. She blinked a few times then look at me. “So what do you say? I’m in on this lovely house on the other side of town.” She smiled up at me and nodded. “I’d love to move in with you.” I couldn’t help the large smile growing on my face when she stood up and hugged me tightly. I kissed her lips then remembered I had to call within the next hour to claim the house. “You eat, I’ll call.” I called the lady, her name was Susan. “Alright Mr. Styles. Come on over, sign a few things and it’s all yours.” She said and I agreed. “Hurry up and get ready.” I said as soon as she finished eating breakfast. “You have ten minutes. Go.” I smiled and she rushed up the steps. Exactly nine minutes and forty-seven seconds later she came down with her hair tamed in a ponytail, white jeans and my blue colored jumper. She put her boots on and we made our way across town in my car. We walked hand and hand into the house. “Wow…” Ashton said in astonishment. “This is absolutely lovely!” She exclaimed when Susan came out. Susan smiled. “Harry this is absolutely perfect.” Ashton said before Susan began with the papers. She handed papers and a pen to me then Ashton wandered off. “That your wife?” Susan asked. “Not yet, fiancé. Soon though.” I glanced up, smiling at the woman. Once I was done she looked over my signature. “My daughter has a poster with that exact signature on it. She’s three. She’s with my husband right now. She’s actually on the playground across the street.” Susan said smiling. “Bring her on over for a bit. New company is great.” I smiled and her face lit up. Ashton came back and smiled at me. “This house is amazing.” She said wrapping her arms around my waist. “I hope you don’t mind me inviting Susan’s three year old over. Apparently she has an autographed poster.” Ashton smiled. When Susan came back she was carrying a small girl with brown hair. Her hair was in a braid. What did Ashton call those? French braids? I smiled at her. “Who might this beauty be?” I asked sweetly to the tiny girl. “Rosie.” She answered shyly. “Hello Rosie. Do you know who I am?” I asked. She nodded. “Hawwy.” I smiled widely and she reached out for me. Obviously I accepted and held her on my hip. “Can I get a picture? I really hate to intrude on you like this, totally unprofessional but she loves you and the rest of the band.” Susan said. “Who’s your favorite in the band?” I asked the little girl. “Liam!” She squealed. “And you.” I smiled. “Can we get married?” She asked. “Hmm.” I smiled and set her down to stand. I got on my knee, still taller than her and properly asked her to marry me. In a childish way of course. She agreed and kissed me on the cheek. I hugged her one last time and her father picked her up. “Thank you so much, Harry. You made her day. Congratulations on your engagement, with her I mean,” she laughed and pointed to Ashton. “I wish you both the best of luck in your future and I hope you find this home as lovely as I did.” I smiled and she left. “So now we converge.” I said folding my arms across the chest. “Our bedroom better be that big room with a balcony.” Ashton said. “Whatever you want is fine with me.”
