Lucian sat on the edge of his side of the bed, facing away from me, as I walked out of the bathroom in a soft, fluffy robe. I was surprised when I observed he already had his pants on and was currently working on his shoes. His hair hung in groups down his back because it was still damp and I picked up the brush.Silently I stalked across the room, like a lioness hunting her prey, and I mouthed a chant to promote silence in my step; something I had learned from my mother, through all the times she had caught me doing something bad as a kid.
Stealthily I leaped onto the bed, thanking whatever god there was that it was the kind that didn’t move the other side when you moved, and plopped down right behind Lucian. I quickly wrapped my legs around his torso so he couldn’t get up without me being attached to his back.
Lucian glanced over his shoulder at me, a smirk on his face. “What exactly is it you are planning?”
“Oh, nothing. I just wanted to surprise you. It obviously paralyzed you.” I scrunched my nose at him and he laughed at my sarcasm. I picked the brush up again from it’s place at my side and parted his hair with my fingers to make it easier to brush. I began gently at the bottom of one part and worked my way up, his long hair getting more and more tangled the higher the brush climbed.
“Ow!” Lucian yelled and I froze, the brush mid-swipe.
“What? What did I do? Are you ok?” I rambled. Lucian just stared at me over his shoulder a few seconds and cracked up. “Oh my god, you ass! I thought I hurt you!” I punched him as hard as I could in the shoulder.
“Hurt me with a brush? Are you kidding me?” He asked in between laughs and I glared at him.
“There are going to be big consequences for this mister. Don’t you doubt that.” I pointed the brush at him like it was threatening and he held back another fit of laughter.
“What kind of consequences?” He asked in a serious tone. Good, that meant I was getting to him.
“Well for one I can just take back my old room.” I smiled and his expression darkened.
Lucian twisted around and pinned me to the bed. “You are not leaving. I won’t let you.” He bared his fangs at me and I blew on his face. He stayed as he was, looking at me with all the intensity he was capable of.
“Alright. I was just kidding you know.” I explained, and he still did not move. “Lucian, you’re making it hard to breath.” Still, he did not budge. “Lucian!”
“I’ll let you get up if you say it.” He smirked and I instantly knew what he was talking about.
“No. I’m not going to say it. You already know perfectly well. Get off me” I snarled
“Say it, or you won’t get up.” He said in a matter-of-fact way.
“Oh, I won’t will I? And what makes you so sure of that?” I quirked an eyebrow at him.
“I can keep you here, forever.” He grinned and it was my turn to smirk.
I decided to change my game up, just to show him I meant business. “Lucian...” I let my voice become husky and desperate, and my eyes go dreamy.
“Don’t do that.” He commanded, and his face became serious.
“Lucian....” I whispered, trying as hard as I possibly could to make myself irresistible. Lines of strain surfaced on his face and his entire body went tense with the effort to hold back. Apparently this was the one area Lucian had trouble controlling.
