I don't know how long the journey in the helicopter took but the sun was just rising as I woke up. Jacks good arm was wrapped around me and his jumper was covering me as a substitute blanket. Someone had fixed up his shoulder while I was asleep as his arm was in a sling and gauze pad was taped over the wound. Looking out of the window the sun was just rising over the top of Big Ben. Great we were in London. Just perfect. It obviously didn't matter that I had my English GCSE today, not that I would have passed it anyway. “Beautiful, isn't it.” It was Jack.
“Yeah, it would make a good photo. Sucks that I left my phone at home.”
“They are already one step ahead of you, they went to each of our houses and collected up some clothes and personal items. Your mum and dad had a fit when they found them on their doorstep at two in the morning. Then they completely freaked when they found you were not in your bed. I can imagine that MI6 got a mouthful.” Oh great, just great. Now I would be grounded for the rest of eternity as well as going down for murder. I looked around the back of the helicopter. The whole team seemed to be there with multiple injuries. Carlos was what looked like the worst off, with three bullets buried deep in his stomach. Someone told me that if he didn't get to theatre soon he might not survive. Who it was I can't say because I was staring at him with all the wires coming out of his arms. He was just another casualty in the eyes of the paramedics. But to us he was a brother who had served well in combat. Not long after, the helicopter slowed down and landed with a bump waking up Lexy, who was asleep, with her head in Levi’s lap. Levi had been staring at me and Jack all the time I was awake with a scowl on his horrible slimy face. How I hated him sometimes, even if he was Jacks best mate. I help Jack up even though he insisted that he was ok, but the look on his face said otherwise as he twisted himself to get up. As I stepped out of the helicopter I realised we were on the rooftop of a huge skyscraper. The skyline was beautiful as both the moon and the sun were above all the famous landmarks of London. The view took my breath away. A frown came to my face as Jack took hold of my hand and dragged me away, following Garrett through a door leading us off the roof. Inside The building it looked like any regular office with people at computers typing vigorously at the keyboards. Apart from one thing. These people were living geniuses working for England’s Secret Service. We weaved our way through all of the computers until we came to another door with an unmissable sign on it. It read: “Any unauthorised personnel entering this door will immediately be interrogated by the cutting off of fingers. Thank you.” I laughed to myself, I guessed MI6 had a little sense of humour after all. Garrett went through without stopping but when it came to our turn we cautiously stepped through to the amusement of the other agents. The door automatically closed itself behind us. We were now standing in a corridor with many brown wooden doors along the walls which were washed white. Each door was the same with a gold plate hung near the top. Names of people were engraved on them. I assumed these were the names of the people that were inside the rooms. The ceiling was covered in artificial lights which made me feel as if I was in an hospital. It was so clean and unnatural. It was extremely claustrophobic, I couldn't even contemplate working in such a horrible environment. Not when their were people like The Shadowing around. Garrett opened the door second to last on the end and beckoned us all in. The nameplate on the door said Anthony Garrett, Head of National operations. That's good, at least we might stand a chance of not being shipped of to some foreign country. All seven of us (Carlos was in hospital) traipsed in and stood around the wooden desk in the centre of the room which Garrett was now comfortably sitting around. Once again the door automatically closed behind us again. That was really starting to freak me out. “First and foremost I'm so sorry that we had to come storming in all guns blazing like that, it’s just we needed a reason to come and get you. You must be wondering why we have come to you, are you not? Well as a matter of fact we need your help, you see none of our agents are quite like you and are not as daring as you are...”
