Chapter 3 – We meet once again.

‘The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday’ ~Unknown

Her long golden hair swayed down her back. The wind was gently tugging at the edges of her hair and dress. Her dress was of a beautiful turquoise. Her honey-coloured skin glowed in the sunlight. The sky was a clear blue and the grass a mind blowing green. She wore a silver bracelet on her wrist.

Suddenly, an amazing angelic voice boomed through the air. She was singing. An elegant song in Arabic. It was by far, the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. She was about to turn around to face me, when a heavy object landed on me.

"Dani, wake up! It’s time for school!" Justine's annoying squeaky voice screamed. She woke me up before I got to see the lady's face!

"Justine, you over-grown cow, leave me the hell alone! I'm trying to get some sleep here. It’s only five!" I yelled at her.

Without any warning, I was flipped off my bed and was laying head first on the floor. Annoyed with my twin, I chased her around the room. She threw a pillow at me and I luckily ducked out of the way. I threw one back at her and we ended up in an inevitable pillow fight.

By the time we decided to end this Tom and Jerry war, the time was already half past nine. I hopped off the floor and ran into the bathroom before my sister could get in. I stared at myself in the mirror. My hair was messed up - I looked so un-presentable. I quickly brushed my teeth and put on a random pair of joggers and a tank top. Ditching the idea of breakfast, I grabbed an orange for myself and an apple for my sister. She came down ten minutes later than me wearing denim shorts and a crop top. We still hadn't got our uniforms yet. I have to admit, I was jealous of her ability to look beautiful without even trying.

We raced down the street, just about catching the bus. Soon after, we were in front of our school. We had to sign in at the office and find our ways to our classrooms. I had Spanish first. I literally ran through the door in hope of making it on time. I was obviously wrong. We had double Spanish and one period was nearly over.

"What is the meaning of this rudeness, Seniorita?" the teacher barked at me.

"I....I.....I woke up late. My sister chased me around." I realised that the whole class were staring at me. Some were even snickering.

"No respect what so ever. What do you have to say for yourself?" the teacher spat.

"Lo siento" (sorry in Spanish) I looked at my feet in shame of all the heated stares directed at me.
