Saturday, the fair arrived yesterday and I couldn't be more excited. Obviously I've never been to a fair but its something every person should do, no matter what their age.
"Guys, are you ready? I want to be there before there is LOADS of people there." I whine while walking into the kitchen like a little kid not getting what they want.
"Really? You three are in here stealing my Pepsi Max's while I want to go tot the fair, and might I add I've never been to one before." At my final words the guys faces turn from there once innocent smiles to shocked.
"You've never been to the fair!" Dylan screeches, making my face scrunch up and my hands shoot up to cover my ears.
"One, ow. Two, nope I've never been." I say seriously after recovering from Dylan's high pitched screech. Dylan hops of the kitchen top and stalks over to me sassily, grabs my right forearm and drags me out of my apartment like telling Trevor and Xavier to move their lazy arses. Shouting to them to lock up I follow Dylan out the apartment block to Xavier's mustang.
We arrive shortly, my eyes bulge out their sockets as I take everything in. People stroll around with candyfloss or ice-cream in the hands. Joyful screams reach my ears and I find the source of them, a big roller-coaster, spins, high drops, the speed and then the upside down spins. Other people play of the bumper cars, others on the tea cups. Lines of stalls placed around, selling food, or others games, fish in bags of water hand on hooks of one stall. Water guns on another. It's like a kids heaven. However what catches my eye the most is the massive spinning wheel that you could see from mile away. My face brightens up at the sight, a toothy smile on my face showing my white set of perfect teeth. A sparkle of real excitement, happiness and joy emit in my eyes.
A Ferris Wheel: something that I've always wanted to go on, something that has always made my hope sparkle. Maybe it was because I used to be able to see it from my old basement room, watching people of all ages go around on it, enjoying the view. Having kisses and spending time with people who matter to them. To me, its an experience I've always wanted to do. The view must be extraordinary.
After taking in the glorious scene, I grab Xavier's hand and pull him to the hoop toss game. In which I earned a light brown around 2 foot teddy bear, with a red bow tie around his neck. I smiled at the bear before turning to the guys and saying "I'm gonna name him Beary."
"Such creativity." Trevor mumbles, while I rolling his eyes. I jump in front of him and cross my arms, Beary's hand in my left hand.
"Say it again, I couldn't quite hear you." My voice sweetly. He doesn't reply and just stares at me. "That's what I thought."
A couple hours later and we all have bags of candyfloss in our hand. Even Trevor has some. Dylan's is nearly all gone, and only half of mine is gone and Xavier's, is a quarter gone.
Shades of orange, purple and violet cast above like a artist shading the colours together. The sky takes on the calming purple while the orange takes o above the ground. It is beautiful and the perfect moment to go on the Ferris Wheel.
"Can we go on the Ferris Wheel, nowwwwww?" I drag out my words. I skip of into the direction of the Ferris Wheel.
"I'll go with Taylor. You two make up your mind." Xavier slips his hand into mine, making a bundle of sparks fire up on my hand and butterflies to go crazy in my stomach. I take in a deep breath and let it out, before walking and getting onto the seats. The bar gets put down by the man and then we up a bit before stopping and then Dylan and Trevor get on the after us.
I laugh to myself when I already see them bickering at each other. "We shouldn't of left them to make their own decision." Laughing, Xavier starts too. Our ferocious laughing attracts he attention of the named two and they scowl at us, knowing full well we're laughing at them.
