Xavier- POV
"Guys, where's Taylor?" I ask, my voice deep and gruff from lack of sleep. We gathered around my locker, all three of us looking rough and tired.
"I'm skipping." Trevor's feet already on their way to the school doors, barging everyone in his path out his way. His eyebrows stay scrunched together as his mind swirls with thoughts that we have no idea about.
"But, you're on the verge to being excluded." Dylan's voice perks up from in front of me. No noise is made apart from the bang of the school doors against the wall, leaving Dylan and I watching Trevor's figure walking away to the car, leaving us all in the dust. The wind howled all around us, goosebumps appearing on my tanned skin. It wasn't always natural for us to be skipping school, but recently we've taken a liking to it the way we all hope that we'll be able to get our shit together and leave this place and our "jobs".
We wander around the streets, not sure of where we're heading. The more we walked, the more we wondered where our legs are taking us: the city, the field, the little restaurant everyone likes to go to, or the alleyways where crime takes place.
There are plenty of places the three of us could've ended up, but the alleyways always stood out the most, it's where our life revolved around- crime.
If i could, I'd get out of this place, but the leader... he's a whole different story, recently put in jail, recently escaped, has anyone heard from him though. We haven't, we've just been left all of us clashing and the business going down in flames.
"Trev, what are we doing here?" I groan in frustration, our feet stampeding down onto the lose stoned pavement, once in a while one being kicked around like a football between the three of us.
"I don't fucking know." He growls, his moody attitude not changing one bit. I've learned how to deal with his attitude and not get offended by how he acts, we all love each other and always will.
Each of us have different things going on and we try our best to be there.
"Unless we have something to do here can we go?" Dylan asks, he's always been the weaker one, but me and Trevor protect him with our lives, like our little brother.
"Fine, lets go to the field." And with that we start walking again.
Throughout the walk my thoughts travel back to Taylor, Every now and then her hood would ride up exposing certain parts of her face. Like her chin, or her mouth, sometimes her nose would slightly appear and show her cute button nose, like the other day when she was covered in purple bruises and small little cuts that we still have no idea of how they got there, but we didn't question as she looked like she had enough going on. We still don't even know that much about her, but there's such a nice vibe about her, a smouldering peaceful vibe.
And it's so catching.
"Hey, remember that time when we stayed at mine and the whole night we just pranked Dylan." I say, laughing at the memories of watching him get freaked out by us dressing up as clowns.
"That wasn't funny. You guys literally turned the house into a horror movie set. You guys put fake blood on the wall AND then walked around the house in clown costumes, covered in blood and carrying axes. I felt like I was in fucking Spooky World for a second." He exaggerates, his arms flapping around to go with his speech, Trevor and I walking around laughing so hard that our laughing turns into some sort of unmanly squeal.
"Oh come on, you have to admit it was a good prank." Trevor- surprising us both with the happiness leaping out of his mouth.
And we both stare, watching the corner of his lips turn up into a everlasting smile, the both of us stood in shock as he stands laughing, tears on the verge of spilling out down his face.
In seconds without a second thought, Dylan's sentimental ass pulls us both into a hug, and for once, Trevor and I both accept it and we all bask in the joy of this moment and everything we've accomplished.
I'm baaaack, and I'm also sorry for the waitt, issues here and there, another book I'm trying to work on, but updates shall be more frequent on here now.
