A Girl Meets Love

Chapter 5

I gripped my hair tightly with both hands and took deep breaths. It's only 3 months, I can last. Or that's what I keep telling myself. Was I hyperventilating? I feel like I'm breathing way too hard. How can you blame me though? I'm stuck in a cabin with all guys and one of them has been my crush for a year and one has been my recent crush. Then again, I can just ignore them. Wait, but there's one bathroom in the cabin. I heard guys were disgusting with bathrooms and such. I cringed at the thought and leaned against a really big rock that was next to me.

"Sunny? Are you okay?" A voice said behind me.

"Yeah... I'm fine." My voice croaked out. I turned and saw Taemin standing there with a look of concern. "I'm fine!" I yell. Quickly I cover my mouth and silently apologize. He probably couldn't hear me. He nodded and left me, leaving me with myself again. Maybe I'm just nervous? What if we have to do a lot of group things? Will I constantly be with these guys? Plus there's 5 of us which means we'll never been equal if we have to split in 2. Maybe I'm just overthinking this. Yeah, that's exactly what I'm doing.
I straightened myself up and took one deep breath.
You can do this. Just be friendly. The other two guys are strangers.
I nodded to myself and walked back to the cabin. The door squealed really loud, causing everyone to look at me. I could feel my face get red. My head lowered without thinking and I went over to my bed that was in the middle of bunk beds. Great, I chose that bed.

"You look sick." Luhan said as he pulled out a phone from his pocket and laid on the top bunk.

"Thanks..." I mutter as I laid down on my bed and covered my face with a pillow. The awkwardness was filling up the room.

"So... Sehun... didn't think you'd be here." Sungmin said. I could tell because everyone else were most likely strangers.

"Well, I didn't think any of you guys would be here. But here you are." Wow he sounded like a douche. Without thinking, I opened my mouth and spoke.

"Do you know everyone in this cabin?" I asked as I pulled the pillow off my face and sat up. All four guys looked at me with a slight disappointed expression.

"We all went to school together..." Luhan said. I tilted my head slightly and thought about it.

"Really? When?" I felt like an idiot.

"We all had classes together back in 6th and 8th grade." Taemin said as he sat on his bed. I stared at all of them with a surprised expression (most likely.)

"Puberty must've did you guys good." I said as I nodded. Now I have no idea what I'm saying. Sungmin nodded slightly and put his luggage next to the bed.

"I can't believe you don't remember... We used to be the bestest friends!" Taemin exclaimed. I nodded, unsure with how to react.

"Well, I don't-"

"Every camper please come back to the fire pit, thank you." The megaphone persons voice said, interrupting me. We all left together and father around the pit in a small huddle.

"For your first lesson today you will be getting to know your cabin mates! Go somewhere with your group and get to know each other well! That is all."
They called us here for that small message? What the hell. Come on!
I looked at everyone in my group and they shrugged.

"Where should we discuss our likes and dislikes?" Sungmin asked.

"We should go by the river." I suggest. They all exchanged glances to each other, but I already know who's the leader of their little boy group. It's obviously the smartest, Sungmin.

"Yeah, let's go then." I nod and smile as I lead the way to where Taemin first met me. Or first saw me again in a couple years I guess. I'm not even sure about anything now.

We arrived at the waters and I sat on the same rock again. Taemin smiled at me, as if he knew what I was thinking.

"Okay, let's get down to business." Sungmin said as he sat on the ground. The others sat on the ground too, following him. It's like he was their leader.

"So... how exactly are we going to get to know each other?" Luhan asked in a distracted tone.

"Let's just ask questions! Like that game... with the questions... uhm I don't know it's name but my friend from America plays it all the time..." Taemin said. We all looked at him in confusion.

"20 questions?" I asked. Taemin pointed at me and smirked.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure! So? Shall we play?" He asked. Everyone agreed and the guys made Sungmin start. Like I said, he's their leader most likely.

"Uhm okay... How many languages do you guys know?" He asked us. I answered with 5 and they all looked at me in shock.
"Four? Which ones?" Sungmin asked.

"Korean, English, Mandarin, Japanese, and Russian." They all stared at me with shock and Luhan clapped slowly.

"Well, thanks for being a show off... I'm betting everyone else here speaks 2. Korean and English. And we're barely fluent in English." He said as he shook his head.

They continued to ask questions but I was no longer interested. All that I cared about was sleep and food. Or at least some time by myself. I threw rocks in the water, hoping for it to help pass the time. It didn't help. I was still so bored of this getting to know each other thing.

"Sunny?"

"Huh?!" I looked up and they all stared at me with a questionable look.

"Answer the question..." Taemin asked.

"What question?"

"What is your relationship status?" Sungmin said as he drew random shapes in the sand.

"My status is currently single." I give them a bored expression and I see a grin on Sehuns face.
