Day three of Sera laying in bed she was driven crazy. There was still no word of Sera getting cleared by the doctors. Which meant she was no closer to defeating Abbadon.

Neela had spent most of those three days by Sera's bedside helping her. Ling and Ava stopped by every so often, but Becca kept her distance from Sera and Neela.

Now Sera was laying in bed looking over another plan, and she was frustrated. She threw the paper down and yelled, "Ugh!"

Neela looked up from her jacket and looked at her friend. "What is it?" Neela asked.

"None of this is adding up right. None of this makes sense," Sera said picking up the paper yet again.

"What isn't?" Neela swam up to Sera's bedside and looked at the paper.

"We won't be able to take all of the guards. We should leave half of the guards here to protect the palace, and for all around safety reasons. We have a hundred thousand fighters with us, we don't need every mer on the royal guard."

"I agree. With a hundred thousand fighters, plus half the guard we should be plenty protected. Plus Alethìa will be going. So we'll have a deadly sea arachnid on our side too." There was a slight pause. "Who even sent that plan?"

"Who do think?"

"Mahdi?"

"Ding ding ding ding. I know he wants to protect me, but if him and Des are going to stay here while I'm gone, then they'll need the guard here. This attack with be the perfect distraction for Lucia to slip in and take over Miromara again, and we can't have that."

"I agree. One Lucia reign is enough for me."

Sera nods in agreement. "Give me something to write with. I'm going to make some changes to this."

Neela gives Sera her pencil from her sketch book. Sera marks up the entire page with her notes. She crosses out everything she doesn't agree with, and adds in missing components. Once she was finished there was almost nothing left of the original document. Sera and Neela sit back and look at the paper. Everything they needed was now noted on the paper.

"I'll take it down to Mahdi," Neela said. "I'll see if him, Des, and anyone else working actually has something else ready for you to work on."

"Thanks," Sera said.

Neela smiled as she took the paper from Sera's hand. She left the room, and Sera was left alone. The sun outside was low in the sky, meaning it was about time for dinner. Mahdi had promised at breakfast that he would eat dinner with her in her room. She couldn't wait for that to come. She wanted to see Mahdi so badly.

Since Sera's near death, Mahdi and Des had taken over partial ruling as Sera recovered. She was in charge of making any big decisions in the realm, but they were to meet with any mer that came to the palace for help. It was working, but that meant Sera didn't get to see her brother, or Mahdi. Neela was an amazing friend, but even sometimes you can get too much of one person. But Sera was glad that she was here to help.

Neela was taking some time getting back to her room with work, so Sera decided to close her eyes for a few minutes. She was tired just from today's work, a few minutes wouldn't hurt.

Sera was lightly shaken awake after what she thought was a few minutes. She opened her eyes to see Mahdi looking back at her.

"Well hello sleepy," Mahdi said in a quiet voice.

"Hey," Sera said stretching out. "What are you doing here?" She said with a yawn.

"It's dinner time. You slept all afternoon."
