Winning the finals of the preliminaries went easy than they have thought. Maybe it was because Kise and Kasamatsu were in sync when it came to teamwork. Kasamatsu passed the ball to Kise whenever there's a chance, he and everyone else believed in the ace and left their trust to him to score.

When it was announced that Kaijou will go to the Interhigh, Kasamatsu and everybody cheered in the stadium's locker room. Kaijou's chance to go to the Interhigh was increasing!

"Just because we have won so far, it doesn't mean we can rest. We need to make sure we take the win until the end!" Kasamatsu reminded everyone not to get their victories over their heads and they still have a long way to go. He suddenly kicked Kise in the butt. 

"Ow! Why, Senpai?!" 

"I need to remind you not to get it over your head." 

"You just told us though?!" 

"You should take it easy, Kasamatsu." Being the most sensitive and well-behaved of the group, reminded their captain to take it easy every once in a while. 

"Yeah, yeah..." 

"Hey, the last time you said you will rest, you ended up playing basketball. You should actually do something you do like. Why don't you sit still and watch some TV for a change?"

"I didn't feel like it."

"Why don't you go on the internet and learn how to pick up girls?" Moriyama suggested, an imaginary lit up light bulb floating above his head.

"Why would I do that?!"

"Oh yeah... You already have Airi-chan... Kasamatsu, are you sure you are serious about Airi-chan? If you are only being half-assed about the relationship, I'd be more than happy to take over for you." 

"Go to hell, Moriyama. Go to the deepest depth of hell and don't come back."

"I think Kasmatsu-senpai will be a good boyfriend." Everybody looked at Kise. Kasamatsu was surprised at his friend's words; out of everyone, if we don't count Moriyama, Kise have strong feelings for Airi because of their past back in Teikou. To have Kise's support on their relationship, Kasamatsu thought he was lucky and that Kise have definitely matured today... 

"Kise..." 

"I've done a lot of thinking. I think Airicchi will be safe with you." 

"Kise, thank you." 

"It doesn't mean I won't be protective of her though. If Kasamatsu-senpai mistreats Airicchi, I will butt in." 

"And I will hit you." 

"You will." 

...

Everybody began to make their way out of the stadium. Kasamatsu told the others to go ahead without him. Kise and the others offered to wait with him but he insisted everybody go home and leave him alone or he will roundhouse kick them in the butt. Having being kicked/punched by Kasamatsu many times, Kise knew of its true horror and it was something you do not want to experience!

"..." On his own, he waited and waited. He watched many people walk by until less and less people come out of the stadium's exit. He smiled when one particular person walked out of the exit, not noticing Kaijou's captain was waiting for her. "I thought I had told you not to come?" He smirked when she froze up. 

"Who me?" Airi was doing her best to trick Kasamatsu. She was wearing a foolproof disguise! How did the third year catch her out?!

"Wearing a hat, thick glasses, and a fake moustache is not going to fool me, Airi. The others are stupid not to notice but I saw you from your seat."
