Error 404 RAU (Redakai Alternate AU)

A shared nightmare

Note: Kaya's hair is way shorter. She looks like that (in the picture above). Also, I changed Maya's hair because it kept me awake at night. HOW THE HELL DOES SHE DO THAT?!

"Hah! That all you got?!", I taunt Ky while he tries to hit me. We were doing hand to hand combat training because we were lacking a little -just a little bit- in it.

"Oh please", he smirks and does a sweep kick which catches me off guard, making me slip.

He extends his hand out to me and laughs, "you a little off your game today? You're a bit weak for some reason." I pout and get up with his help. 

"Tch. Whatever Ky. Besides the fight isn't over yet", I smirk and punch him in the chest. I go behind him, strike the centre of his spine and pin him to the ground. "Oww...you're a clever one, aren't ya?!", he complements me. 

I let him go and he get back up on his feet. He rubs his back and winces, "Remind me not to underestimate you ever again, okay?"

I giggle a bit and yawn. "It's a bit late don't you think? I mean we're literally training after dinner. Wayy past dinner", I tell him. He shrugs and says, "yeah I guess. Today was exhausting. I'm surprised we're still on our feet."

We walk back to the X-Scaper together while talking about the crazy stuff that happened.

The funniest and most concerning part was when Zane fell off the cliff edge. Luckily he fell into the bushes so he didn't get hurt too bad. Serves him right for trapping us in a cave.

Later that night...

I walk into the main hall of the X-Scaper and can't see or hear anybody. "Guys? Hey! Where are all of you?!", I yell. 

Suddenly, I feel a sharp pain in my back and I could taste blood in my mouth. I fall to the ground and mumble, "ghh..what...the hell...ugh..."

 I look behind me to see who stabbed me. I saw a young woman who had short hair but her front locks were long and reached below her shoulders. Odd haircut, huh? Her eyes had a reddish glowing tint and a devilish smile across her face. She puts her foot on my back and kneels down. 

Tauntingly, she whispers, "your turn~"

I close my eyes tightly and wait for impact. I feel her stab into the back of my neck and-

"WAH! Uwoah!", I scream before falling off the "bed" and hit my face on the hard ground. 

I rub my head and mumble, "agh..what's with the nightmares? Sometimes Lokar, sometimes mom, sometimes random lady with weird haircut trying to kill me. Ugh...what's happening? I'll think of it while I'm showering. That's when I get all those deep thoughts anyway." 

I make my way to the bathroom and brush my teeth. I get my clothes ready and turn the shower handle. I put my finger in the water to check the temperature. When it's right enough, I step in.

"I don't get it. Who was she?", I think to myself. 

Suddenly, I hear a knock on the door and someone on the other side calls out, saying, "Kaya! You in there?" It sounds like Maya so I respond, "Yeah! What is it Maya?" She sighs and tells me, "I have something to tell you." "What is it?", I respond. 

"Well, um...I saw something weird and I can't get it out of my head. Since you know more about dreams than the other two, I figured you could help me understand it?", she tells me. I pause and say, "well, okay. I guess..."

"Hey Maya!", somebody else calls out. Sounds like Ky. "Hey Ky. What is it?", Maya asked him. 

"Nothing much. I just needed to talk to you about a weird dream I had, since y'know. You're good with spiritual stuff?", he replies. Maya and I both have a similar reaction, "what?"

"Maya and I were about to talk about that!", I exclaim from inside the shower. Ky says, "actually me and Boomer both needed help. You know a lot about...well, everything!" Maya giggles nervously and says, "not about this sort of stuff." 

I knock on the door from inside and say, "hey! How about we talk about this AFTER I'm done with my shower? 'Cause this is a little bit awkward." They go silent for a while and then respond, "yes ma'am!"

I hear them run off and I simply roll my eyes. Talk about adorably weird.
