Welcome back...

"Give up! You've lost Maya and you've lost Boomer. It's pointless to fight!", I yell at the cloaked woman as both of us rose to our feet.

"Oh yeah?", I noticed a smirk forming on her shadowed face. I fall into a battle stance, knees bent, fists clenched and a bold, confident look on my face. It doesn't matter what she throws at me. I'll fight it off. I have this far, haven't I?

"Even if I have one more card left?"

I sigh and yell back, "Don't even try it! It's useless! You can't win against me! Leave us alone! No matter what you try to do, no matter who you try to make fight against me, I'll win anyway!"

"Even if its...him?", she says, lifting up her hand, thumb, index finger and middle finger on her left hand.

A gust of wind forms a tornado next to her and disintegrates as fast as it came. The smoke cleared to reveal...

Oh god...

OH GOD...

NO WAY!

"IMPOSSIBLE!", my goddess self roared.

I freeze and my confidence crumbles like my stance as the only emotion I can feel is immense guilt.

I fall to my knees, right hand on my mouth. I can't...even look...I know what I'm seeing isn't an illusion...

"It was futile of you to blame me for what you did...don't forget, you were ignorant, stubborn and selfish too. You still are", they taunt me.

Those words pierce through me like arrows shot by a skilled archer with much force...

I c-can't...

I could make out a dark purple mist from around the eyes. Shadow Kairu?

"KAYA! I'M GETTING YOU OUT OF THERE! Maya and Boomer's physical forms just came back, if you stay, you'll probably die! Let's go!", I could hear Ky yell. I look up to meet...his gaze.

Those eyes...they're so cold and empty. I tear up and choke on my words. "I..."

I close my eyes and let the tears fall. I clench my fists and I hear a faint whooshing sound.

"Oh, how the tables have turned. Now YOU can't fight back to me. Ahahaha!", the woman laughed.

Suddenly, I get pulled back into a vortex and launched into the wall of the X-Scaper.

I slid back down and laid on the floor. I don't even try to get up and instead I just stare off, blank. "Kaya!", I hear Ky yell.

"Are you okay? You got hit and then launched into a wall just now, are you okay?", he asks concerned. I wince and sit up straight. "Yeah. I'm...okay..."

I wasn't okay...

I look up and see Maya and Boomer lying down on the floor. "Ugh...all that negativity really got to my head...wake me up in five minutes or whatever...I need some time...", Maya groans, using her hand to signal us to go away.

"Same...", Boomer says, lifting a finger.

Ky and I exchange glances. I begin chuckling. Then, I start to laugh. Ky stares at me but begins to laugh as well. We tear up and hug each other.

Ky said, "what'd I tell you?"

"Remind me never to doubt you", I say, rubbing my eyes. We let go and dry our tears. "They're really here...I...remember them again..I remember everything again...", he mumbles. I smile and the two of us just stand there for a second. Then, I break the silence and say, "by the way, I'm gonna need my soul back."

An hour later...

"That's pretty much why Chi is easier to control than Kairu and why you guys were killing it while you were fighting alongside me against Boomer", I explain as I walk into the X-Scaper. We notice Maya and Boomer talking to each other and decide to join in.

"What'cha guys talking about?", I ask. "Eh, just what happened recently...seriously, that lady was freaky", Maya shivers at the thought of her. "Gotta say, she was freakier than Zane by a mile", Boomer says.

Ky facepalms and I laugh. I hug Boomer and say, "I missed having someone around who had jokes as bad as mine. O-Ocassionally..." He hugs back and says, "your jokes are alright."

I hold my arm out, inviting Maya to join and the four of us end up in a group hug. "So how did you guys even find us?", Boomer asks.

We let go of each other and Ky says, "Oh that's a story to tell. So! There we were..."

As Ky tells the story, I realise that my goddess version was giving me a lot of energy to fight and I was actually supposed to be exhausted. I keep getting drowsier by each second but manage to hide it.

However, it isn't long before I give in and I fall on the floor on my back and fall asleep without a care.

Switching POVS for a sec to Boomer

The three of us turn to Kahura and find her...sleeping on the floor.

"I didn't notice how tired she was...", Ky says. I nod and Maya says, "you said she literally travelled to another dimension or universe and stuff right?"

"Yep. And I get tired when I use Kairu to lift a rock", Ky says. "A giant rock!", I point out. "Right, a rock as big as you", Maya laughs.

I fold my arms and pout. Ky and Maya laugh while I sit there like a salty child.

However, I find myself laughing alongside them for no reason after a minute.

Back to Kahura

I can faintly hear their laughter and I smile at the sound of them being together again. "We really did it...heh...we brought back the deleted...", I mumble.

"Yeah. Your first great achievement as a goddess. Congratulations", my goddess version says, grinning. "I say great because bringing back deleted souls are harder than bringing back dead people"

"Really?", I ask her, curious. She nods and says, "Well...yeah...heh. We have a good life, don't we?"

I nod happily.

"Again, remember that the lady won't be gone forever. She's going to be back. Okay? Go have a good rest and dream one of your weird but fun dreams, kid", she says as I get up.

I sigh and say, "Thanks...for everything."
