“What is his name?”

It’s a pretty simple question, a normal question. I was expecting a totally normal answer like Triton or Leo. Of course, that wasn’t the case.

A few seconds of silence hung in the air after I asked the question, and I turned to ask again because Raj didn’t answer me. When I looked at his face, his eyes looked angry and we looking past me.

I turned and saw a man standing there. He had a solemn expression, which made his chiseled face quite gorgeous. He had on a black linen shirt with matching pants, and was barefoot.

All I could do was stare into his amber colored eyes. Eventually he turned his burning gaze from me to Raj, who stood behind me.

“I think I can answer on my own brother.”

His fell on my face again and a smirk appeared on his face, showing a hint of blindingly white teeth.

“My name is Anik. You must be Grace?”

I could only nod. When words found me again I managed to sputter out,

“How did you…how did you do that…thing?”

He then full on belly-laughed and smiled, which almost blinded me. All I can say is that the Rajaram family has some good genes.

“Grace, I like you. You aren’t afraid to speak your mind. I’m sure you have many questions?”

“Umm, yes I do in fact have a lot of questions.”

He nodded, and turned to Raj.

“I think its time.”

Raj agreed, and then asked me to follow them upstairs.

“Wait, are you going to turn back into a tiger?”

Anik smiled and said,

“Not right now.”

Ok, so he isn’t now, but he will later. Ill just not be there for the later part….he is really really really attractive. And I don’t feel uncomfortable around him. Raj just stares at me with those eyes, like he is looking into my soul. Even though I have known Anik for about 30 seconds, I already like him. He seems nice.

I followed both boys up the stairs and of course Kamala was waiting at the top. She immediately began scolding them in Hindi. I held up my hands to stop her.

“Kamala, its ok. I’ve agreed to listen to what they have to say. If it’s too much for me, then ill just leave.”
