As I walk into the infirmary I see Reggie on a cot with an ice pack to his head, and him trying to clean his cuts.

Where the hell was the nurse?

I grab some disinfectant and start to help Reggie. "Let me." I say softly.

I can feel Reggie's eyes on me, burning a hole through me. "Betty I-"

I then cut him off. "Let me speak first Reg. I'm sorry I got you into this. I just had to prove I wasn't incompetent. Everything has been going downhill for me lately."

"Like what?" He questions.

"Archie cheated on me with my best friend. Jughead stopped talking to me, then he helps me, then he kisses me, then he ignores me again, then when I try to kiss you and at least try to make myself feel better, he gets in a fight with you. Everything is just so confusing and stressful. I'm so tired."

Reggie places his hand on my cheek, "Go to sleep then."

I laugh, "No Reg, tired as in I'm tired of being a good girl. I want to be something wild, and free. I don't want to be someone who everyone leaves." I look down and sigh.

Reggie looks into my eyes "Betty listen to me. You're great just the way you are. No one wants to leave you."

I scoff "Come on Reggie. Of course they do. Even you will." Reggie gives me a look of confusion. "We kissed. Sure, it was nice. But soon, you'll get bored of me, and you'll find a girl and then the cycle begins again. The only person who managed to stay was Cheryl, funnily enough. And she's the one who tortured me until this year. Maybe in order for people to stay, I need to stop letting people walk all over me. I'm going to be a new girl. Just watch." I say with a solemn look to my face.

Reggie shakes his head "No Betty, you don't need to change who you are just to impress other people. If they leave you, then it's their fault. Not yours."

I give out a sad smile "If I don't change, then I'll have no one."

"Betty." Someone calls my name and I feel them tug on my shoulder some.

I turn around and I see Archie was the person who called my name and tugged on me.

"What do you want Archie?" I say with irritation.

I'm so done with today.

"What's going on with you and Reggie?" He questions.

Before I can answer, my favorite red head comes up and answers for me. "I got word that they made out, and Betty told me herself that he was the best kisser she ever had. Sucks to be you Archibald." Cheryl says with a sickeningly sweet smile on her face.

Man I love her.

Archie didn't move from his spot. Cheryl sighed and said "Archie, go before I'll do something that will mess up that little pretty face of yours, okay?"

Cheryl then at that moment pulls me away.

"Thanks Cheryl, but you didn't need to save me." I say.

"I know Betty, but what are cousins for?"

I laugh slightly, "Cheryl, you seem to be the only one lately that's there for me."

Cheryl gives me a tight hug and says "Oh Betty, I will always be here for you. Now, is there anything you need?"

I think about it for a minute, until I finally nod. "Actually, yes there is Cheryl. I want a makeover.

"So Betty, you want to no longer be the good girl of Riverdale, am I right?" Cheryl says while pacing.

We are currently in her room and she's trying to figure out how to remake me.

"Yeah. I'm just tired of being walked all over, you know?"

Cheryl gives me a wide smile, "I have tons of clothes that I don't even wear anymore. You can have those, until you buy your own wardrobe okay?"

I smile, "Okay. Thank you Cheryl. I don't think I can express my gratitude enough for this." I give her a hug of my own.

"Anything for my favorite cousin."

I laugh and then we sit down on her bed. "So... How are things going with your mom?" I say solemnly.

Cheryl and her mother, Penelope, don't get along that well. They constantly bash heads. Penelope hates the fact that Cheryl likes both boys and girls.

Cheryl looks down, "Not well. Mother caught Toni here the other day, and after she left mom hit me and yelled at me."

I look at Cheryl horrified. "She hit you?"

Cheryl nods. "Sometimes I wish I could just run away. Just me and Toni. Riding on the back of her motorcycle, with her dog Yoshi by our side. And now mother has begun an affair with Claudius, daddy's brother. It's all so gross. I wish I could just stand up to her."  Cheryl sighs.

I grab Cheryl's hand. "Cheryl Blossom. You are the most strongest person I know. If you can stand up to Veronica, Archie, and even Chuck for me that one time, you can stand up to your mother. You know, if my mom didn't hate you I would let you stay with us in a heartbeat."

"Thanks Betty."

"What about Toni? Why don't you stay there?"

"Toni thinks me and my mother have a wonderful relationship. I didn't want to tell her the truth. You're the only one who knows Betty."

I nod, understanding. "How is Toni?"

Cheryl then gets a huge smile on her face. "She is just fantastic. She took me to this field and we had this picnic and it was so romantic.

Tomorrow I'm going to be someone different and I can't wait.
