I let my hair loose from my tight ponytail and I look at the waves flowing over my shoulders. I grab my red lipstick and slide it over my lips.

I did good.

I'm wearing an plaid skirt with fish nets under it. I'm also wearing a black crop top with combat boots. I think it's safe to say I don't look like the old Betty Cooper anymore. I grab my backpack and I make my way downstairs. Before I could make it out the door my mother sees me. She looks surprised.

"Elizabeth Cooper! What are you wearing?"

I roll my eyes. "Clothes mom."

Alice scoffs. "You call those clothes? I want you to walk up those stairs right now Betty and change into a nice sweater and jeans."

I shake my head. "No mom. That's not me anymore. This is me. And if you don't like it, then you can suck it."

My mom gasps, quite dramatically if you ask me, and runs to her room, then I hear a big slam.

I think it's safe to say that Alice Cooper is pissed.

Grabbing my book from my locker I can see people looking at me.

Who knew the good girl can look badass right?

"Hey." I hear a deep voice. I turn around and I see Reggie coming towards me.

"Hey Reg, what's up?"

He looks me up and down and says "What's up with the outfit?"

I roll me eyes. "Are you going to judge me too?" I cross my arms over my chest.

Reggie shakes his head. "No, I actually like it. I just want you to know that I like good Betty and bad Betty."

I smirk. "Thanks. Well I got to go but I'll see you later, okay?"

Reggie nods his head. "Okay."

As I'm walking down the halls I run into someone and I fall on the ground.

Damn it. Not again.

I get up to see who caused me to fall down, when I see Jughead Jones staring at me with a very surprised face. I wait about 10 seconds and he's still staring at me and isn't saying anything.

I finally pipe up and say "Um... Can I help you?"

At the sound of my voice, that's when it seems Jughead comes back to reality. "Sorry. Um... Woah."

"Woah?" I question.

"Woah. What happened?" Jughead says astounded.

"I changed."

"I can see that. But why?" Jughead tilts his head to the right and keeps assessing me.

"Just thought a change might be good." I then pick up my spilled books from the floor and I start to walk away. Jughead stopped me from going much further and stops me by tugging on my shoulder.

"Betty wait."

I twirl around and say in a rushed voice. "What Jughead? You're the one who stepped away from me. Twice, may I add. You screwed up, not me. So give it a rest and leave me alone." I shove his hand off my shoulder and stomp away angrily.

Just as I was about to step into my class I'm stopped once again. By this point I'm getting pretty annoyed.

"God damn it, can't anyone leave me alone?" I say out loud. I see who stopped me once again when I see a certain pink haired girl. I let out my breath and say. "Sorry Toni. Didn't mean to snap, just it hasn't been a good day."

Toni lets out a little laugh. "It's okay Betty. I just wanted to ask you something."

"Sure." I shrug.

I like Toni. She's cool. She's a good match for Cheryl, especially after all the pain Cheryl has had in her life. Cheryl and Toni go together like peanut butter and jam.

"Cheryl has been acting weird lately. We don't really hang out at her house anymore. Only when her mom isn't there. Is something wrong?" Toni asks.

I sigh and look down. I'm not sure if I should tell Toni or not. Cheryl might be mad that I spilled the beans, but isn't this for the greater good? Toni learns about the evil mother and she can help and be more aware.

"Yes. There is something wrong." I conclude.

Toni eyes widen more, "What is it?"

I gulp, "Penelope is bad. She's so mean to Cheryl."

Toni's eyes crinkle a little. "What do you mean? Penelope is great. She's so nice to me and so nice to Cheryl. I don't get it."

"It's an act. She's a homophobic and is terrible to Cheryl."

"Shit I need to find Cheryl. Thanks Betty, see you later."

Cheryl might be furious at me after this, but she'll thank me later.

Now time to get to class.
