Mistaken

Unexpected True Love

April couldn't figure out why she was feeling a loving feeling for Corey. Even after all the things she did to him. She managed to get him into a prison site as a prisoner for heaven's sake! "Corey..." April softly said. "What is it?" Corey asked. "For some reason, I don't know why, but I seem to have you know...seem to have grown a few deep feelings for you.." April softly and slowly spoke but enough for Corey to hear her clearly. April's head was down, so all she was only looking at, was her legs and shoes."What do you mean?" Corey asked. Corey isn't that type of guy that wouldn't really be searching for someone to love but he's hoping that the right person will change his view on love.

"What I'm trying to say is....is that I have....feelings for you...as in...I have to seem to have fallen in love with you." April tried explaining. "Wait...so...you love me?" Corey questioned. "Yes, you dummy! Why are you trying to make me feel weird by just explaining something in simpler words." April talked normally as she softly hit Corey's arm. Corey's eyes widened before his cheeks went blushing red. "April..."Corey suddenly said.

"Yes...?" April softly replied as she slowly raised her head a little. Corey leaned in slowly and just as April's head was fully up, before she knew it, Corey's lips were on top of hers. Her thoughts and questions went everywhere in her mind. But the only question that glued onto her, as if Corey is only kissing her because he feels the same way or if he's doing this for a different reason. She wasn't sure of what his reason was. April's widened eyes slowly closed and she felt Corey's soft hand holding onto hers.

    As their lips slowly departed, both of them slowly opened their eyes and looked at each other for a moment. "April, you don't know how long I've been waiting for someone to make me change how I view love..." Corey told as he slowly smiled. "But if it's okay for me to ask, but why did you fall in love with me?" Corey curiously asked as his head tilted a little to the right. "That I wanna know myself...but I think I actually do have an answer? Or something at least.."April replied before she tightly held Corey's hand.

    "Well I first met you, I really did think you were this criminal that did all those crimes...but as I got to know what you are actually like and who you really are...I actually felt so bad because you're less than what I expected...you're actually very understanding, strong, friendly, mature, calm, secure, serious, caring, and brilliant. Like when I was about to be tortured by those guards at that prison site camp, you actually had given me a chance to be alive. Which no one would've had with me....after knowing what I did to you...that's why I feel so bad and wanted to help you to make it up to you.." April explained.

    "I want to help you so that I can fix the problems that I have created into your life. I-I just...." April stopped as she began having tears blurring her eyes. Then before she began crying, she felt warm arms being wrapped around her. "April...I really appreciate what you're really trying to do. I honestly do...and that's why I want you to hear this..."Corey said softly, then he directed the sound of his voice into April's ear. "I actually have seemed to start having feelings for you too..." Corey softly spoke. "Want to know why?" Corey asked. ".......Why...." April replied.

    "Because you're not afraid to fix what you broke or ruined. You're very prepared, resourceful, earnest, honest, hardworking, and you're very helpful. And you're actually very caring and motivated. I'm actually glad that this all happened, well I may have not at first, but hey, at least I went on my first extraordinary adventure. Because back at home, I couldn't do much like adventures or even have time for myself due to how much I have to help with the money and food shortage issue that we are dealing with." Corey answered with a smile. April felt even worse because how can Corey, after everything that just happened, possibly have fallen in love with her.
