Chapter Seventeen~ Betrayal

Jessica's POV

The next day I woke up feeling like a block of shit but still went to school. The day passed by quite fast and next thing I knew it was lunch time. Me, Karyme and Liza were walking in the hallway when Brianna bumped into me on purpose.

"I'm getting so annoyed by her! I don't even know why she's hated me ever since fourth grade! seriously it wasn't enough for her to bully me back then and now she wants me to die!" I said because it was true Brianna had bullied me since fourth grade and had never stopped.

" Jessica she's been really nice and cool to me ever since I met her." said Karyme

"Well yea Karyme but she hates me" I said

"Jessica people change" she said calmly

"Yea Karyme but I came to study here because I was bullied in Juarez and then she appeared and has made my life miserable ever since!" I yelled back at her because she knew about this and I never actually liked to talk about it.

"Oh my god" she said

"Yeah Karyme I know she's your friend and shit but there's no need for me to like her because I don't have to!" I yelled

"But you don't have to talk about her like she's some sort of demon!" she yelled

"But I can" I yelled

"Okay talk behind her back do whatever! I love you but its still messed up!" she yelled back with anger in every word.

"We'll she isn't my friend but if you prefer her well go ahead I won't stop you!" I yelled with tears in my eyes. Soon enough she left. I ran to my car leaving Liza alone. I soon drove to my house and just as I was going to turn to the street were my house was on I saw a car going extremely fast in my direction but it was too late because that car had hit mine...hard. I soon went unconscious.

Liza's POV

Both Jessica and Karyme had left and well I didn't know what to do so I just went to class. After school I got a call from an unknown number.

Phone call

Hello?

Hello is this Liza De La Rosa one of Jessica Reyes' friends?

umm... yes how can I help you

We are calling to let you know that she's in hospital Del Sol. She was in a severe car accident and her condition is very critical and she will need surgery.

Ok thanks.

End of phone conversation

I hung up the phone and rushed to my car I finally got in and drove to the hospital as I walked in I saw her... she was pale, with scars all over her face and neck and blood running down her face. From what I saw I noticed that the cuts were deep.

*An hour later*

I had called everyone and soon they were here.

"Family of Jessica Reyes" said a doctor. I told them that only five should go so me, Cameron ,Nash, Karyme and Ingrid went up to the doctor. And finally he said "She's out of danger at least for now. Yet we still have to check. In an hour we'll let you know exactly how she is." he said then left. It was a relief that she was okay even if they still weren't sure. We all waited an hour. That hour was full of panic, depression and a bit of tears.

"Family of Jessica Reyes" said the same doctor that had called us earlier.

"Well she is fine yet she...she can't see. The impact of the car left her blind yet we will do surgery on her to try and let her see but the surgery will be later on this month. Yet she still hasn't woken up and we believe that she might go on a coma." he said and left while Nash was crying his eyes out. I didn't cry because I never liked for people to see me but I either way hugged Cameron and cried in his arms.
