Making your story more realistic.
Okay, so most of us has probably encountered a chapter or more where we need to be very detailed and specific about a certain something in the paragraph. This may be about anything.
I have encountered this when I was writing my book 'Different' and one of the characters, specifically Jihoon's father got in to a car accident. Of course me not knowing what damage a car accident really does to a certain part of a body nor what medications it needs, I got a little help from the net.
Basically, you just search up the specific topic you are writing about and take the important information down, putting it in to your own words in the chapter, kind of like a research assignment.
This technique has helped me a lot trying to understand what I'm writing about and it also helps my chapter make sense as well as for the readers. With some research, it will really come out that you really know what you're writing about.
Your chapter will appear more realistic and relatable to the readers.
Also, it doesn't really hurt trying to understand the topic you're writing about and surfing the net plus this could give you more knowledge, it maybe useful again in the future when writing. : )
