As a result of playing host to the Void's seed, Aichi himself ends up becoming the final hurdle in Ayumi's quest to bring her boyfriend back.
In Cardfight!! Vanguard G, Aichi and Ayumi are studying abroad in America and are recruited by Ibuki to help with Plan G. Because of their absence, Team Q5 is forced to fight Team TRY3 in the G Quest's Ultimate stage without the two of them.

Appearance
Ayumi is a young girl of average height with long jet black hair that reaches her back, which she mostly prefers to wear in twin-tails and light green emerald eyes with fair pale skin. She lets her hair down sometimes on occasion or when she's in her sleepwear.
Her civilian clothes varies, but she mostly wears a red long sleeve shirt and black skirt with white frills at the bottom and black knee socks with brown shoes, and wears the Higher Middle School female uniform in the first two seasons, before she changes her main attire to wearing the Miyaji Academy uniform after going to high school with Aichi.
Her civilian clothes in the third season is a violet jacket over a orange dress with black laced boots and white socks.
In the fourth season, after Aichi goes missing, she dons his jacket for most of the arc, until returning it to him near the last two episodes. She wears instead underneath the jacket low cut shorts and a blue and black shirt, while keeping her black boots.
In the sixth season, it is shown that she is back to wearing her original attire with the same black haired. Her attire is still the same as what she had in Season 3 when she was fighting against Reverse alongside Aichi and their friends.
Her height is officially an inch shorter than Aichi's until in NEXT, where she is now as tall as him. She also wears her hair in twin-tails still, while they're being held together by small buns, now reaching her waistline.
When using her Psy Qualia, her eyes glows with a bright orange color.
Personality
At first, Ayumi comes across as quite tomboyish early in the series, but soon tries to act more feminine to appeal to Aichi and get his attention. Shy, kind-hearted, optimistic, angry at times when Aichi's involved, and studious, Ayumi can also be stubborn when she has her mind set on something and can be a bit rash at times, but is mostly a passionate girl who will do anything for her friends. She believes in working her hardest to becoming a better cardfighter, and practices in order to be more useful to Team Q5.
