Airah can hear the ambulance as it enter the hospital, which means another life may be at risk.

"Ma, I'm a medical technician, I can take care of myself. I know what I am doing." she told her mom who's very worried of her "No you don't that's why you're here! I told you not to go anywhere away from us, you're not familiar with this place, you should have listened to us." she scolded her "Yeah, I know. I just wanted to take some walk out of the hotel but this stupid drunk man- ack!" she felt both her legs in great pain "Oh God!" her mom helped her to lay herself on the bed "I'm going to call the doctor, don't move!"

What an epic way to start my life here in China. She told herself. It has been two days since she got hit by a car and it hurt her a lot, especially her legs. She has bruises all over her body but her legs were severly damaged because of the impact of the accident "Damn that drunk man." her eyes rolled as the doctor checked her.

"We'll just give you pain reliver, don't worry you will be fine." again, she rolled her eyes, of course she knows she will be fine. She's a MedTech!

"I called Kylla she'll be here any minute by now. I will just fix something and I will be back soon. Don't move too much, okay?" she nodded "Thanks, ma." then her mom left.

Kylla came in with food and her iPad "How are you doing?" Kylla asked her "Wow, napunta lang ng China pa-english english na!" she told her sister "Alanganamang mag-Mandarin ako?! I am not even familiar with the language, duh." she chuckled "Are you really okay now?" Kylla's face turned worried "I am. I will be. Therapy will do, I know." she shortly answered her sister "Good, how many days are you going to stay here?" her shoulders shurgged "The doctor didn't say anything about it, maybe later?" Kylla sat on the couch beside her "Okay, just tell me if you need something." she nodded.

The doctor advised her to stay for a couple of days so they could monitor her legs, as much as she wanted to go, well she can't obviously. Her mama stopped from being hysterical already about her condition "Your therapy will start within one week." her doctor said "Can I walk around? My body feels numb that I am doing nothing but rest here." Dr. Chua gave her the permission to walk around but with a nurse.

She noticed the room beside her, there are many people inside it, there are flashes of camera too so she's sure that a popular person is occupying the hospital room beside her "Can we go to the garden?" the nurse nodded and helped her walk.

"Do you want to drink something?" the nurse asked "Hmm, an iced tea will do. Thank you. I'll pay you when we get back to my room." Nurse Li gave her a small smile before leaving.

Now she's alone. She looked around the unfamiliar place, unfamiliar people are everywhere, even the language is alien to her. They moved to China because her parents got a nice job in Beijing, her parents only waited for her to graduate in college same with her sibling who just graduated in Senior High School.

Lost in her thoughts, a man in wheelchair got her attention, he was wearing a face mask and a cast on his left foot. He has a nurse with him who helped him to sit on the bench where she's sitting, they were talking in Mandarin so she can't understand them, she just focused herself looking at the other patients in the garden.

The man had a soft aura in him, that's what she felt when she glanced at him a while ago "You're not a Chinese, am I right?" he asked trying to start a decent topic "Just half. My mother is a Filipina." she said "What's your name?"

Wow naman, tanungan agad ng pangalan? She thought herself "I'm Airah Lee." she was about to ask his name when she saw his identification wristband...
