Airah felt the different feeling as the plane landed, they are now in Beijing, China the place which is going to be her new home "Airah, come on, walk faster." her father said.
She placed all her bags on the bed and sat "Ma, do we really need to move here? Kylla and I?" her mother sat beside her and tapped her shoulder "We just don't want you away from us. At least here we can all be together unlike before, we were too far from you and your sister." she sighed "How long are we going to stay in this hotel?" she asked "One week? Until we can finally move to our house."
Airah looked out of the window, she misses Philippines already, she misses her friends, her cat Seobi, everything. Though Seobi will be with her soon too. Her auntie will bring it for her "Ate, lakad tayo." Kylla suggested "I'm gonna stay here." then Kylla left.
She scanned through her Messenger and saw a lot of messages praying for their safe travel to China. She chatted her friends and told them they already arrived in Beijing and currently staying in a hotel before moving in to their new house.
They went out to eat dinner, her father who is fluent in Chinese ordered for them "I will enroll the two of you in a Mandarin class as soon as I can." he said "Go on, eat. I will tour you around tomorrow morning so sleep early, okay?" he said smiling at them "I'm excited!" Kylla clapped her hands and started to eat "Thanks, pa." she told her father "Anything for my princesses."
She woke up earlier than the usual, just like what their daddy promised, he started to tour them around while their mother is busy taking care of their new house "Ate kuhanan mo naman ako ng litrato." she took the DSLR from Kylla and took a photo of her doing a peace sign "You don't look happy, Airah. Why is that?" her father asked when he noticed her silence the whole time they were touring around the place "I'm just not used to this yet." she answered.
"I am so sorry we had to bring you here, we can't stay away from you and Kylla anymore. We're missing you from time to time. Don't worry, I will make sure you will have a nice time here in China so you can adjust. You can visit Philippines also, so start finding a job here now." his father laughed "Pa, your jokes ha. Improving."
When they got back to their hotel room, her mother was already back and prepared some snacks for them "How was your day? Did you enjoy?" Kylla raised her thumb as she started to eat cake "It was fine. I enjoyed." she gave them a small smile, her mother handed her a plate of cake.
"Girls, we will be out tonight to meet our boss, Airah here's money for your dinner, don't go anywhere okay? Stay here. You guys are still unfamilliar to this place, we will call you later." they both nodded. Their parents left and they started to think of what to eat "Gutom na ko." Kylla said "Ako nga rin eh. Let's go?"
They went out of the hotel, "Where to eat? Where to eat? Where to eat?" Kylla kept on asking her "Will you stay quiet? Maybe there's a McDo nearby."
Her eyes widened and she almost shouted in happiness when she saw a McDo a few meters away from the hotel where they stay "Finally! McDo!"
But ordering wasn't so easy because of language barrier. Five minutes later they were able to order "Sakit sa bangs, ate ha." Kylla said "We seriously need to learn Mandarin." She sat on the opposite chair of her sister "Let's hope she got all our orders correctly."
"Thank heavens." she whispered when she saw they got their orders correct "Finally, something I love to eat!" and they ate in silence.
"Ate, what if you find a boyfriend here?" she almost choked with what Kylla asked "Can you stop surprising me with such questions?" she rolled her eyes at her sister and continued to eat fries "Well, naisip ko lang naman. What if it happens?"
