XIV

Yi Xing excitedly woke up the next day. He happily took a bath, brushed his teeth, ate his breakfast and left his condo unit. He was even humming as he drove to the location his manager sent him. It is really proven! That an Airah a day can keep the bad feelings away!

He woke up seeing that post it note on his stuff toy's head, he greeted Airah a good morning on his message but he's sure she's still asleep. So he'll just wait for her reply "Yi Xing!" Manager woo waived at him "You came early!" he said "Look at this. Hahaha!" Yi Xing showed Manager Woo the photos Airah sent to him "I don't know how she manages to be cute and beautiful at the same time, but I guess she's naturally born like that." Manager Woo chuckled with him "Look, I even asked a friend who knows Filipino to help me." he showed a small notebook to him "You really went that far huh."

"Airah's worth it, I know."

The shooting started for his new movie, he knows it will be a long tiring day for him but he's sure that Airah can take all the weariness away when he sees her.

Yi Xing looked at his wristwatch, it was already 2 PM, within two hours he'll see Airah! "You're really in a good condition, Yi Xing!" the director said because he has been taking all his scenes with just one take, he's determined to finish the shooting fast so he can fetch Airah and bring her out for dinner.

"Let's call it a day! Thank you!"

"Thank you for working hard today!" Yi Xing bowed his head to thank all the staffs "Mr. Zhang, let me remove your make up." his make up artist said motioning him to sit "Ah, there's no need. I'll remove it myself. Thank you!" he looked for his manager "Manager Woo!" he shouted waiving his hands "I'll go now!"

"Hey! Change your clothes first!" he looked at himself and noticed he's still wearing his costume from the shooting "Aiyo wei." he laughed.

Yi Xing stopped by a cake shop "Red Velvet please."

He arrived in front of Airah's house, he looked at himself in the mirror and brushed his hair a little before grabbing the cake he bought.

He slowly knocked on their door and it was her mother who opened it for him, she said Airah's still on her room and she will call her daughter.

"Kuya!" Kylla called Yi Xing "Hey!" she sat beside him and asked if he was able to recite the poem for her "Unfortunately, I wasn't able to. Your mother called and told her about the trip, I'm planning to tell her tonight. Wish me luck, please." Kylla tapped both his shoulders "I wish you all the luck, Kuya! You got me on your back for my sister! Ayyiiieeee!"

Airah who's upstairs is still busy choosing what to wear when her mother suddenly barged in "Yi Xing's here already and you're not dressed yet?!" she gasped "I'll be out wait!"

"Did I make you wait?" Airah asked when they both got inside his car "I can always wait, if it's you."

"Yi Xing." her voice's warning him "Okay okay, I didn't wait that long. Plus I was honest when I said that I can always wait if it's you."

"I got you a gift!" she showed him a small box from her bag "But open it later, focus on driving." she said "I made this gift myself, I hope you like it." Airah put the box back inside her bag.

They arrived at Manager Woo's restaurant, it was his Manager who personally welcomed them inside and lead them to one of the VIP's rooms "Please wait for a while as we prepare your order." he said "I'll personally cook it since Airah is a very special guest here." Manager Woo winked before leaving the room.

"May I see my gift now?" Yi Xing excitedly asked Airah. He opened the box and his smile grew wider when he saw a bracelet inside it "I personally made it, I don't know what you like, you probably can buy anything you want so I decided to personalize my gift to you." he took the bracelet out of the box to take a closer look of it "Thank you, I like it very much."

"I also wrote LAY at the back of the metal." Yi Xing checked it and saw his screen name written on it "Oh my, thank you. Thank you." he hurriedly tried to wear the bracelet, when he can't, Airah leaned closer to help him "I really like it."

"I'm glad you do." Yi Xing noticed her face slowly blushing as she looked away. You did it, Zhang Yi Xing! You made her blush! He thought "Ah well you see I have been busy lately, also I will be releasing my third album, I want you to be the first one to listen to it when I'm done." her head turned  to him.

You're doing just great! He thought again, the awkward feeling is gone in her eyes! "I can also take you to the premier of my new movie, but that would be three months from now."

"W-Wow... perks of having an idol-actor friend."

Friend?! Yi Xing scratched the back of his head "Yeah, the perks." 

Yi Xing hid the disappointment he felt quickly. It's not going to stop him... it will never stop him. 

After their dinner, Yi Xing asked her if she could stay later outside, she said she can since her mother knows she's with him. He decided to bring her to his house "Wow!" Airah exclaimed when she saw his house's rooftop "This is the second best part of my house next to my studio for me." it has an arcade! It has a tent in the middle! It has small plants all over! It's beautiful! "Why did you put the arcade here? Hahahaha. What if the rain pours?" she asked "Well, this part isn't totally done yet, we'll put a small glass house over there for the arcade so we will still adjust he whole space." she sat on the mat "You're the most artsy person I ever met." 

"I'll be taking that as a compliment but for now, excuse me because I'm going to grab some drinks for us, it's getting cold. Feel at home, Airah." 

Yi Xing went downstairs to brew coffee and a hot chocolate for Airah, while waiting he decided to change his clothes first to make himself feel more comfortable. He went back inside his room again to take a blanket with him for Airah. 

Airah on the other hand is thinking of Yi Xing... thinking why is he doing these things for her. She wants to confirm what's going on but she's afraid she's wrong. She's afraid she's only assuming things. 

As she looked up in the sky, she remembered how they first met, before he's only Patient #102191 in her eyes, a friend she met in the hospital. But later on, things changed for her, she can no longer see him as a friend, though she keeps on calling him that, again it's because she's afraid. He's no longer the guy she met in the hospital for her, he's now Zhang Yi Xing... the man who keeps on messing around her peaceful mind. The man who makes her feel very special, the only man who can make her heart beat fast and it's only him who can make her blush. Lastly, he's an idol. He's famous.

Airah sighed as she thought of how close they are and how far he is to reach. 

She didn't notice Yi Xing was already back, he even put the blanket around her but her thoughts are too far, she's lost at the moment.

Yi Xing sat beside her "Hey, are you sleepy?" he asked, still drowning in her thoughts she said...

"No, I'm just thinking where to place myself in your life."
