Chapter 5

Today was the day of the funeral and I was in my room getting ready when there was a knock on the door
"Come in" I shouted and I'm walked art, dimitri, celeste and Alberta
"You ready" celeste asked
"Just give me a moment"
I put on my heels and adjusted my hair and then walked into the kitchen and took a glass out the cabinet and took a drink but then I dropped it and it smashed I sighed and picked up the pieces of it as the others came in.
I was crying so dimitri took the glass from my hand and put it in the bin and art picked me up and we sat on the couch.

Once all the glass was picked up I linked arms with art and we walked to the car. I got in the back and sat with celeste and dimitri as Alberta drove and art sat next to her. The drive was spent in silence and when we arrived at the grave yard I linked arms with art again as we walked across the grass to where everyone was waiting and then I saw Mrs Ashford she spotted me and I unlinked art and walked over to her and we hugged.

For the rest of service I clutched to Art as I didn't want to let go because if I did I'd break. One by one everyone left until it was just the five of us that travelled here together
"You ready to go home" Alberta asked
"Can you give me a minute" they all looked at each other and then nodded and walked away

I crouched down so I was holding onto his tombstone
"I'm sorry this happened to you mase. You deserved to live and graduate. But just you know you'll always be Guardian duckie to me mase. I love you"
I stayed for a few more minutes and then walked back to the car. Everyone was already in and I sat in the front this time with Alberta.
"US five are staying at a hotel tonight" art said 
"Why"
"You need time away from all the students with people that know what your going through and that's us"
I nodded and she drove to the Royale it was a beautiful hotel that cost loads but when I saw who paid i didn't mind. Art laid for one big room with two king sized bed and a couch.

We got into our room and I sank down in the couch but then my phone rang, I checked my pockets but it wasn't there. I looked through my bag and found it. I answered it, put it on speaker and then set it in the table mainly because I was too tired to hold it.
"Rose you there"
"What's wrong Kalina" I said as everyone else sat down and listened while I talked
"I want to come back, I need to rose for you"
"Absolutely not Kalina"
"Rose, please. You were supposed to be coming here finishing your studies off in St.Basils and then guarding lissa  or me"
"I know Kalina but that can't happen now and you know why"
"When are you going to do something that you want to do not need to do its been a year rose. A year since it happened and your still being protective your not 18 yet I'm 27 I'm supposed to be protecting you"
"I'm protecting your because we are being hunted for what we did kalian there were eight of is and now only four of us are alive and I'm sure as hell not about to bury another friend you and James have a baby to take care of just do that please and stop worrying"
"I can't rose like you said there hunting us and it's incredibly scary"
"That's why baia is warded I made sure of it"
"Baia" dimitri whispered
"What did you do rose please tell me you didn't do business with him"
"Of course I did he's my father and I needed to make sure you were safe and if that meant doing business with zmey then so be it"
Dimitri paled at the name zmey
"Rose zmey may be your father but he's dangerous"
"And I'm lethal Kalina why do you think nobody has come after you yet"
"I figured they were planning"
"They were but I killed three of them and there are only two left and until they are dead you have to listen to me"
In the background I heard people laughing
"Kalina where are you"
"At Karolinas why"
"Put mama on"
"Alright"
I put the phone on mute to answer questions cause it would be a awhile until someone spoke on the phone.

"What do you both mean by being hunted" Art asked
"While on the run with lissa I met Kalina, Amanda, Amy, Jonas and James we became friends and I did a Misson for the Queen we were told to kill or capture a group called the mura"
Dimitri looked up and instantly knew who they were
"Your being hunted by the mura"
"Yes although there are only two left I killed the other three the day they killed my friends"
He nodded and I continued
"When we first found them they were too strong they killed any and Amanda but the rest of us manged to get out but after that they were after us. And one by one they've killed is first Amy and Amanda then Jonas, then Blake although he came back and now Mason."

They looked at me and confusion was on all there faces
"The month Mason was at his mother's when I was away he wasn't with his mother he was with me. From the day of found out Kalina was pregnant I've done everything to protect her and Jason and I'm not going to stop until the rest are dead"
"Why baia" dimitri asked
"Well my father was there and at first I didn't know who he was but when I did I knew he'd help me and he has. When I first got to baia it was only lightly warded stragoi could still attack there but I spent 200,000 on wars the strongest ones. No mura or stragoi are getting through them"
"How do you have that much money"
"I'm a billionaire my father is abe mazur"
They all paled and I laughed
"Now you see where I get my temper from"

"Rose" her voice came down the phone
"Hi"
"I'm so glad your alright I thought something happened to you"
"Oh it did I'm back at the academy, Mason is dead and I'm pretty sure that before I come home Another mura will be dead. But enough of that what's new with you"
"My son finally decided to tell me he was alright and where he was"
"Now tell me were he is because he is gonna learn not to worry his mother like that again. And I don't if he's your son your my family as well"
"That's the thing rose he's at your academy" I looked to dimitri he was the only Russian at our school
"Olena what's your last name"
"Belikova"
I gasped as did dimitri
"Mama"
"Dimka"
"Right your telling me your son has been my mentor for almost half half a year and I didn't know"
"Yeah I guess so" she chuckled as i glared at dimitri and he knew what I said to his mother was true he was gonna get shouted at later.
But then I heard his voice
"Babushka who are you talking"
"Your auntie Rose"
"What. Babushka please can I speak to her"
"Only for a while and let her go alright"
She handed him the phone

"Auntie Roza"
"Hey paulie"
"I missed you so much. Where are you. When are you coming home"
"Slow down buddy you'll run out of breathe. I'm in hotel with some people one of them you know and I'll be home on six weeks for two months"
"Really you will. And who's the person I know"
"Yes and I think he'd like to talk to you himself"

Dimitri spoke in Russian with his nephew for while
"You found uncle Dimka"
"Yes i did"
"Have you shouted at him yet"
I chuckled
"Not yet"
"Ooo uncle Dimka is in trouble"
"Yes he is now go and have dinner Paul and I'll see you soon"
"I love you aunt Roza you too Uncle Dimka"
"We love you to" dimitri said before Paul ended the call

I cried and dimitri held me as I did and then he asked the question I didn't want to answer not yet
