Chapter 12

When we all sat down everyone staring at me and I knew why. They wanted to know how I knew Ivan not even kalina or Jason knew that I knew him.
And this is when the questions started
"Well little sis I think you've got explaining to do" Ivan laughed sitting next to me
"I don't understand why it's always my job to answer questions and tell people"
He giggled I mean he actually giggled
"Right then questions" I asked
"What did he mean by your team" Alberta asked
"My team. Moroi and dhampir working side by side protecting each other their used to be twenty of us but now there's only me, pavel, my father, kalina, Jason, Chris, Toby, ana, ivan, lissa and tati. I'm their leader the one who gives missions the one they have to listen to" I smirked at the last bit
"I still don't like it" Toby whispered I chuckled
"Who's daughter is Maya" Celeste asked
"Biologically she's Ivans and Amys but she is mine daughter nobody can tell me other wise"
"Nobody is going to rose yes she's mine but she is most definitely a mazur"
I smiled and hugged him
"How do you know each other" dimitri asked the one question I'd been dreading
I took a deep breath and swallowed they all saw and instantly knew I may cry at the end of this
"I know you and Ivan have been friends since you were three but when he was ten he was sixteen he spent a year in America visiting Jessie" me and dimitri shuddered at his name and Ivan gave us questioning looks and dimitri said
"He tried to bite Roza"
He turned to me with a livid expression on his face and I nodded he looked ready to blow
"It's fine though dimitri had an interesting conversation with him"
"Anyway when he was forced to visit his younger cousin he spent an hour with him in the first day and stormed out of the moroi rooms knocking me over in the process calling him a lot of names that as a nine years old I shouldn't have know" 
Alberta smiled
"But basically from then he'd watched out for me and we became good friends when he left we promised to talk all the time and every year he came back until the day I left. And I didn't know he was gone until dimitri mentioned it"
"So you knew who I was talking about" dimitri
"Not until you said his name. I comforted you but then went to my room and cried until our next training session."
He looked at me with pain in his eyes as did Ivan
"Why did you never tell me"
"Because you were grieving as well I allowed you to do that I can take care of myself"
He walked over to me and knelt in front of me
"Yes you can but you don't have to Milaya" He said pulling me into a kiss

To be honest this was a new side of dimitri showing our affection in public was amazing everyone knew he was mine and I couldn't be prouder
We pulled away just as my daughter came barrelling through the door laughing
"And what's got you giggie missy moo" I asked smiling as she looked at me then dimitri and burst out laughing
Vika Paul and zoya came in next
"What did you do to my daughter" I asked Vika highly amused by the look on ivans face and my daughter holding onto the couch as tears rolled down her face from all the laughing.
"Nothing I just told her a story" she said smiling smugly
"Momma" she said coming over to me and smiling sweetly at me and I knew she was up to something, I wiped the tears from her face
"Yes baby"
She whispered something in my ear which Ivan heard and immediately cracked and laughed as my daughter laughed harder at the look on my face
"Vika" I chaised blushing and looking everywhere but the people in the room
"What it's true"
This caused Ivan to collapse on the floor in a fit of giggles
"What is wrong with you two" kalina asked them
"Vika told maya that someday soon her mommy is gonna get married to her special friend and going to give her many baby brothers and sisters" I said blushing dimitri caught my eye and smiled knowing we both wanted that.

My daughter finally stopped laughing and came and sat on my knee
"Momma"
"Yes monkey"
"Can I talk to daddy" she said looking at Ivan
I gasped and stared at her with my eyes wide, she giggled and kissed my cheek
"How" was all I managed to get out
"Mommy I'm three not stupid I look like him"
I smiled and then looked at Ivan
"Baby why don't you go and show him your room. And Ivan she better come back down happy or you won't be making anymore babies any time soon" I said covering her ears for the last bit
He nodded gulping and she took him by his hand and began to walk up the stairs when they were out of ear shot Chris looked at me and then my father and smiled
"I guess we know where you get your temper from"
"Yes you do and she is still mad at you" my father said smiling sweetly just like my daughter had moments ago and I was regretting letting my father babysit so often she was so like him and had a plan for everything.
She may be ivans daughter but she was mine as well and nobody was gonna say otherwise and we'd have to figure out who'd she was Gonna live with.
I hadn't realised I wasn't paying attention until my beautiful daughter came bounding down the stairs with a huge smile on her face
"Guess what Momma"
"What monkey"
"Daddy is coming with us when we go see auntie lissa and me and daddy had a talk" she said smirking at my father and then glaring at Ivan who looked slightly scared of her. I stifled a giggle
"Baba what have you done to my daughter she a little devil" I smiled at her and she laughed
"I told daddy that I'd like to get to know him but only if he doesn't take me away from you. I don't want to loose another mommy and Momma Amy is gone"
This time I was on the verge of killing someone who the hell told her about Amy. And I'm guessing she realised it
"I heard you on the phone last night to auntie tati and I know I wasn't always yours but your my Momma and nobody is gonna change that especially not this one" she said jabbing her finger into her fathers leg.
