*The Hospital*

*Rachel's P.O.V*

I ran through the doors to the hospital, slowly following the gurney he was laying on. I was so scared, scared to the point I had an anxiety attack. A nurse came running over to me and helped me get sat in a chair. She said "Everything is going to be all right, okay dear." I couldn't breathe. It was like someone dropped a boulder on me, and I was being suffocated to death.

After calming down the nurse brought me some water. I was very nervous still, and I told the nurse she may have to watch out for because I may have another anxiety attack. She was very nice to me,. and said that I was going to be fine.

After about seven or eight hours of waiting, a tall man came into the room and called my family's last name. I stood up and practically ran to him hoping he would have something decent to tell me. "All I can tell you as of now is that he is still in surgery and that they are doing a good job fixing him up." He said with a smile trying to reassure me that the doctors were doing everything they could to help him. All I could do was start crying, he looked at me and gave me hug. I didn't deserve a hug, it was my fault I was standing here while he was in surgery. If I would have just kept my mouth shut all three of us wouldn't be in this situation.

I ran by the school the next morning to get all of my homework. I told the secretary in the office I would not be attending school until I could come home from the hospital.
I go to a small school. Our school was nice, I guess. The mold in the ceiling tiles said differently. I'm in band, so I went to my band director to tell him what was going on. "I probably won't be here until I can get a full night's rest from being at the hospital. I doubt I will be able to go on our trip this weekend." I felt my heart drop because I love music and I don't want to miss this, but I can't do anything about this situation. I started to cry, it was all I could do in this moment. Not knowing if he was okay was killing me inside. "It's okay, I promise. He will be fine. You will be back in time to go on the trip with us this weekend, I just know it!" Unfortunately the words he just spoke would be true. "Do you know how he is doing?" My band director Mr. Watson moved over to give me a hug and waited for me to answer his question. "All they have told me is that he is in surgery and that they were doing well on him. They told me they would call when he is out or when they have another update on him." I was still crying. The tears wouldn't stop coming. I used a whole box of tissues from his office. He obviously felt bad for me.

After my director talked to me for a while I decided to go back to the hospital. I told him I'd keep him updated and I'd see him soon. Once I left the band room I realized I was hungry. I walked to the E-Z Mart down the street from the school to end my hunger. I walked in to get a peace tea. I think it's been a few weeks since I've had one. For some reason it was really quiet in there today. After a while of looking at my options in the same fridge I had been standing at, I finally grabbed a sweet lemon and walked to the candy isle. When I got to the candy isle the front door to E-Z Mart opened and a guy taller than me walked in. He was tan, more than most people around here. He had brown hair that was short and had some curl. I don't think I've ever seen him before. In a small town you know everyone, and I definitely didn't know him.

When I woke up I felt so tired, I am so sleep deprived. When I came downstairs there was breakfast siting on the table. My Uncle Marty had made breakfast for me and my Aunt. He made me scrambled eggs with toast. With him being an Aussie he has a jar of vegemite on the table. I of course used some on my toast. My Aunt looked at me and smiled, "Good morning sweetie, how did you sleep?" "I slept okay. I was woken up by Analise a few times, but it didn't bother me to much." I smiled back at my Aunt and then started eating my food. "I can't believe your mother sent you here. Isn't your band about to get it's big break" He said that very sarcastically, but what he didn't realize is that we are going on tour with One Direction. "Well you could say that I guess, but I wanted to come down here. Maybe not for three months, but I got my mum to let me come home a little early because I will need to get back to practicing with the band. I am however excited to get to know little Analise!" I smiled at both my Aunt and Uncle.
