"It's about time you two got back." Rachel said sternly as Derrick and Aron walked through the door to Aron's apartment.

"Hey, we're back. That's all that matters, right? We can all relax and talk now right?" Aron said cooly as he walked ahead of Derrick, ignoring Cameron's cold glares and stares towards Derrick.

Aron could still sense Derrick's pain, his anguish. He knew that feeling all too well but it was his job to put it aside and look out for his best friend. Derrick nearly lost control while they were still at Jacie's house, his demon blood almost took over and if it had, things would have gotten very messy. That being said, it took nearly forty minutes for Aron to help Derrick regain his composure. Derrick was usually good about keeping himself under control, but every now and then he'd slip up, and his demon side would show just a little, and he hated that about himself, but if anyone understood how he felt, it was Aron, which is why Aron was the one tasked with helping Derrick keep it controlled.

Rachel sighed but smiled at Aron's obvious attempt to keep the pressure off Derrick and she eased up as she sat back in her spot on the couch, curling her knees to her chest. "That's fair. Alright, so now that the four of us are together we need to discuss what happened tonight, starting with you two and your constant fighting. It needs to stop or it's going to put Jacie in danger. Our goal is to keep her alive as long as possible, not put her in harm's way, so stop being so damn reckless!" Rachel snapped, frustrated and clearly ticked off.

Cameron looked at her then looked away. "Easier said than done, Ray. We already know it's going to happen eventually, at this point trying to keep her alive is almost pointless..."

"How the hell can you say that?" Derrick shouted to Cameron, his anger boiling his blood, he was ready to knock Cameron on his ass and he wasn't about to try and hide it, but Aron gripped Derrick's shoulder to hold him back. "Of course there's a point to keep her alive! We're all sick of seeing her die and not being able to do anything, but over the years, every life we learn something new. We could be this close to being able to help her despite the curse, and you're just willing to give up and say to hell with her life?"

"You know damn well that's not what I meant!" Cameron shouted back. "I'm just saying that it's..."

"Shut the hell up, both of you!" Rachel screamed, silencing them both immediately. "Shut the hell up, for two seconds, and just talk things out like everyone else! This is the kind of thing I'm talking about that puts her at risk so the both of you need to learn how to get it together and control yourselves or she's going to get hurt. Derrick is right, we're all sick of watching her die. All four of us, Lassie, Chaz. All of us."

At the mention of Chaz's name, the room fell silent, then everyone looked at Derrick, who was staring at the floor. "How is he, by the way..." Cameron asked softly, his voice the one to break the silence.

Derrick stayed silent for a moment as he thought about his older brother who was at home, locked in his room. After a long moment of silence, he responded. "Angry as always. He doesn't want anything to do with Jacie because he doesn't believe it's her anymore. Ever since those few incidents he hasn't wanted anything to do with her. I can't say I blame him, but he wants to stay out of it."

"I was starting to doubt if she was still herself. Out of her other lives, she was always so different. It's like the curse began to distort her soul, and when you think about it none of the others have one hundred percent looked like her either. I know era and lifestyle will do that, but she's never looked so much like her real self before now. Every last detail is the same with her appearance, her personality is exactly the same, and now she's able to use magic. I think that's the main thing we need to discuss." Rachel said as she drifted into a perplexed, deep thought.
