It's the final chapter. I have put a lot of time and effort into this and I hope you guys enjoy it. So here it is, the finale of Someday...
16 years later...
{Addison POV}
"Mom! Zac won't leave me alone and I'm trying to get ready for school. Look what he made me do." Hazel came stomping down the stairs with Zac right behind her. Zed and I had Zac six years after Hazel. It was amazing in the beginning when she would be protective of her little brother, but ever since he's learned how to prank people, all I hear is arguing. This time Hazel had lipstick all over her cheek, and I bit my cheek while trying to hold back from laughing."Zac, apologize to your sister."
"Fine, I'm sorry Hazel... that you don't know how to properly put on makeup." Hazel immediately chased her brother throughout the house. I was about to yell at my children before they could break anything, and like he was reading my mind, Zed came running down the stairs and stepped in front of our children to stop them.
"You two. Counter now, eat breakfast and be ready in thirty minutes or else I'm leaving and you'll be walking to school. Got it." Zac quickly nodded obviously scared of his father's warning, but Hazel walked up the stairs rolling her eyes. "Oh and Hazel change and put on a shirt that doesn't show your stomach." She screamed and slammed the door, while Zed just walked over to me laughing.
"Morning beautiful." Almost thirty years since we met, and he still made me feel butterflies in my stomach whenever he was around.
"Morning, how's the team looking this season?"
"Good, but I'm thinking about replacing the QB?"
"Why?" I asked even though I already knew the answer.
"Because Landon keeps smiling at Hazel during practices and talks to her... but it isn't just talking, you could tell by the look in his eyes. I mean who looks at my baby girl like that. If you ask me it's pretty inappropriate." He began growing veins on his arms, so I rested my hand on his and they instantly vanished.
"One, you do remember that our daughter is now 16 and about to turn 17 soon. And two, has he ever touched her or made her feel uncomfortable? Or is this because you heard her talking to me about how much she likes him?"
"I just don't want her to get hurt, I know how boys are at this age and if she comes home with a boyfriend then she'll end up forgetting about me." Zed leaned into me and I kissed his forehead starting to feel sad too.
"She won't, but you have to remember that she isn't a baby anymore. She will one day end up falling in love and could go through heartbreaks, and that's okay because at the end of the day she will always have us to be there for you. And you never know, a cheerleader and a football player sounds like a pretty good couple to me." I smiled remembering how we were in high school.
"Doubt it, they never last," he got up from me and walked towards our son, but turned around soon realizing what he just said. "I mean they only last for awhile- wait that's not better- ummm have I told you how much I love you and that I am never going to let you go because we're each others forever." He is so lucky that our ten year old is in the same room as us, there are so many words that I could say to my husband right now, but I choose to let it go... for now anyways.
"Nice save lover boy." He came towards me in attempt for a kiss, but I pointed the knife in my hand towards him causing him to turn back around towards Zac.
