Charlie and I ended up walking the three blocks to the Pizza Palace. It turned out to be a great night for a walk. The stars were shining and no one seemed to be out but us. The moon was so bright I could easily make out the frown lines on Charlie's beautifully sculpted forehead.

I bumped my shoulder with his. "Hey, what's up?"

He glanced at me before tugging his beanie down over his ears and looking up at the sky. "It's nothing."

I stared at him for a bit but decided not to pry, we did only meet each other today. There was no reason for him to tell me every little thing. "Okay."

He seemed shocked and frowned at me for a second. "It's that easy?"

I laughed at his surprised face. "I take it you're used to nosey people."

"Yeah." Charlie smiled before glancing at me shyly. "It's a refreshing change."

I returned his smile with a goofy one of my own, earning a laugh from him that was surprisingly attractive. There was so much I didn't know about this boy but I was already hooked.

"Why are you staring at me?" I stumbled at his question, much to his amusement.

"St-staring? I'm not staring." I cleared my throat and looked away as my cheeks burned with embarrassment.

"Aww." Charlie cooed pinching my cheeks. "You are so adorable."

"Okay, okay. Stop that." I swatted away his hands, he was just making me flush that much more.

He chuckled and took my hand. I shivered as his touch sent shocks up and down my arm. "Is it weird that I feel this comfortable with you?"

I was wondering the same thing. We met not twelve hours ago and he called me an unpalatable tramp yet I felt comfortable enough to walk down a semi dark street holding his hand. "No. I feel the same way."

"We're here." Charlie announced as if I couldn't see the huge shining building in front if us. The smell of pizza and bread sticks made the monster that was my stomach wake up and roar.

"No? Are you sure? I can't seem to read that giant sign over there that says Pizza Palace." I teased.

"Well maybe I said it for dramatical affect. You just ruined the moment with your biting sarcasm." He groaned in mock exasperation.

I just laughed as I walked through the opened door. The pizza place, as usual, was full of teens since it was almost seven on a Friday night. Plenty of people I knew were here and I was thrown a few greetings as soon as I walked in.

"Table for two?" I turned towards the familiar chipper voice and was face to face with Tracy, my old assistant captain of the volleyball team.

"Trace!" I squealed.

"Mel's? You're here! I thought you left already!" Tracy yelled as she pulled me into a bone crushing hug. She smelled as usual like a candy shop, this girl was still addicted to candy.

"I don't leave for Yale until August. I still have one more month here." I grinned at her as I held her at arms length. Tracy is your typical strawberry blonde, blue eyed country girl. She is also the sweetest person I've ever met. I have never once heard a harsh word come of her mouth, which is why I almost went into cardiac arrest at her next words.

"What the hell are you doing here?"
