Hello everyone😗..it's been so long I even forgot that we have books...so first of all a major apology for our book Smiling Secrets. It was supposed to have about 3 chapters by now but basically school would leave us in the ER if we ever left it for hobbies so please guys we're begging from the bottom of our lonely hearts, bare with our overworked souls😩😪.
So this chapter isnt a rant or anything but instead its about a new intiative that my friends and I are starting. A bit of background first, at school we have outreach programmes where uu can visit disadvantaged families and, as a Christian, help them out where we can with things like food, clothes shoes and all that. So recently we visited Zimbabwe (for my international friends, it's one of South Africa's neighbouring countries and it's in kind of an economic crisis. Keep up to date with international news kids😝). In Zimbabwe we visited a village in Chinhoyi (ah here uu have to go straight to Google maps😇) on a huuuge farm that belongs to Uncle Makesure (yes it's quite a peculier name😳) and we saw that there is a big need for a grinder and also ELECTRICITY (yes folks there are still places in the world that don't have electricity, running water and wifi in every corner let alone cellphone reception..). We call it "Makesure there's light" and because it's in a blazing hot rural area we thought, solar panels would be perfect. Therefore the materials we need are solar panels and batteries then the people to install those.
We went to our head of outreach and she thought it was a great idea only one problem..ladies and gentlemen FUNDS! All I basically need you guys to do is to tells us if there are any means of obtaining funds for a good cause especially in South Africa and accessable I mean we are still teenagers under our parents' wings so let's also be convenient in that way. Thank uu so much for reading this and please pray that this works and we push through until those villages get solar electricity. Let's pull together and try and do something selfless for once. Once again thank uu for the support in our works.
