Hey! This is Right and I'm busy attending a extreme Gap Year program: Beyond Adventure!
It's situated in Alicedale, Eastern Cape, South Africa. I absolutely enjoy it here. Those who are looking to get fit, have adventure and learn new things, including your strengths both physically and mentally, should definitely check it out.
The campus is on a beautiful golf estate: Bushman Sands golf estate, in Alicedale which is a small town.
Check out their Facebook page for photos on what we've been up to for the first half of the year. It's 18 June now, and we're all on holiday now for 3 weeks.
This gap year is for anyone from the age of 18 years to 25 years, but they do make exceptions.
We've done various, fun activities, namely: ● Kayaking ● Scuba Diving ● Hiking the Amathole, which is a 100km hike in 6 days. (Cool story about this, in all the years that Pastor Peter and Pastor Erin have run this gap year, we are the first year's students to have started and finished the hike!) ● Longest day of 60km (The jump route was awesome to cycle! I don't think there was one bump that I went over that I didn't scream😂) ● High Ropes ● Hike, Navigation and Survival ●Reece Week (This week was quite intense but soo much fun) ● Missions (Some, including me, went to Uitenhage. It was fun! Others stayed at campus and did community service, went door to door and went to the SPCA. ●Faith on fire (We went to the church in PE and enjoyed it a lot. I think Beyond Adventure took over most of the dance floor😂 We're also on Faith t.v, "Faith on fire 2019"
I'm looking forward to the third term. During this term we'll be doing: ●Rock climbing ●Self Defence ● First Aid ● Mountain Biking ● Abseiling
I also can't wait to see my friends. Holidays gets lonely without them😅. New students are also coming in on the 6th of July 2019. It would be interesting to meet them.
The people here at Beyond Adventure are all so nice, it actually feels like a second home. And if you don't like campus the first time, you'll learn to, especially if you've been camping out for a week in a tent... 😂
