2- Real World

        The sound of the bell went off as I opened the door to the Dicey Cafe. The smell of coffee and alcohol wafted over me. I smiled at the memories of coming here after escaping Sword Art Online three years ago. Agil was behind the counter, cleaning out a glass cup with a cloth. To no surprise, Levi was standing just behind him cleaning the counter. He was wearing his usual cleaning apron and bandana. A laugh escaped my mouth when I noticed that Levi was half of Agil's size. Levi glanced over at me and glared at me as if we was about to murder me. I cleared my throat and walked over to the cleaning duo.

        "Is everyone here?" I asked in a hushed voice, not wanting any of the customers to hear. Agil shook his head and whispered, "Still missing potato girl" I groaned, she was always late. I nodded before heading to the back door, but before my hand could grab the handle, the door was flung open. Asuna bumped into my chest and then jumped back in surprise. When she saw it was me, she relaxed and reached up to kiss me on the cheek. I noticed the necklace that hung around her neck, it shimmered. Since I turned the necklace back into Yui, I bought Asuna a replica for her to have in the real world. I smiled at the thought of our little girl, it was hard not being able to see her everyday.

        "Is Sasha here yet?" she asked, glancing over my shoulder to check the cafe. I was about to answer when I heard the bell chime and footsteps rushing in. I turned to see who had entered, and there was Sasha. She was panting heavily as she carried in a tray full of food. I could see steak, potatos, and frog legs! My mouth watered at the thought of delicious fried frog legs made by Asuna.

        "Hey Agil, Kirito, Asuna! Sorry I'm late, I had to pick up some snacks on the way there" I laughed at Sasha's appetite. Levi cleared his throat, not appreciating being left out of Sasha's greeting. Sasha turned red and looked over the bar counter. Levi was glaring up at her with his hands on his hips.

        "Oh sorry, didn't see you there shortcake" Sasha giggled then made her way over to me. She handed me a frog leg, then skipped down the steps trying to juggle all her food. I turned to Asuna about to ask her to fry the frog leg.

        "Here. Cook this for me later?" I smiled and handed her the frog leg. She grabbed the frog leg out of my hand and throws it across the cafe. "NO FREAKING WAY!" The leg flew across the room and slammed into the wall. Some customers gave us a weird stare but that didn't stop us from cracking up and walking into the backroom behind Agil and Levi. I heard voices as we walked down the hallway.

        "Finally Sasha, you're here!" Connie jogged over to her. He grabbed her hand and lead her over to the machinery. Connie was fascinated with what we put together in this large room Agil and I built. Covering the walls were monitors that allowed us to see what happens. We have switch boards underneath them so we can control the weather, seasons, night and day, and spawn. Our employers sit by them and watch over the players. Today is the first day that we're going to be testing out our new game Corpse Party Online. Around the edge of the back wall are beds that the players will lay upon during the game, and next to that are where the head gear are stationed. In the middle of the room we have tables of lab equipment just in case something malfunctions, and food for the players who want to eat before entering.

        "So is everyone ready?" Agil clapped his hands and told everyone to get into their beds. Eren had laid down in the bed between Mikasa and Armin. Connie and Sasha smiled at each other as they got into their beds. Marco took the bed beside his best buddy Jean. Christa and Ymir settled themselves into their beds, a comfortable silence between them. Levi took the last bed, silently and calmly.

        "I'm going to go over the rules and explanations. Once you put your head gear on and turn on the power, your body will shut down. Your mind will be sent into a different world where you can control your virtual body the same way you can here. Now this will be a horror game but I'm sure you tough guys and gals can handle a little scare. Now rule number one, after about three hours of playing we will send you a message telling you to log off. That way you can eat and rest up a bit before entering the game again. Rule number two, stay with at least one other person just in case the game bugs out. But don't worry about that, it's very unlikely. Also don't worry if you die, you will wake up back into this room. And rule number three, have fun guys!" Their faces lit up as they got ready to play Corpse Party Online. They placed on their headsets, and some hesitantly laid down to play the game.

        "Have fun and be safe you guys" I waved at them, holding Asuna by my side. They all looked over at one another and smiled.

        All togther they shouted, "Link start!" and they were in the game.
