Kirito-
"I'm not sending my little girl to some haunted school!" I shouted back. Agil and Klein looked at me with hard eyes, still trying to convince me to send in Yui. Asuna was behind me, holding onto my hand. I could tell she was scared.
"We have ten other people in there! This has become too serious and we don't know what this person is capable of." Klein had begun to wave his arms around to prove his point. I turned to see Asuna clutching onto her necklace.
I shook my head, "We are her parents so we say no! She is our responsibility and I couldn't forgive myself if something happened to her." I could feel my eyes begin to water at the thought of losing Yui. Not only would it kill me, but Asuna would be devastated. I wasn't about to let her go through losing her daughter. "She wouldn't be able to get in anyway since they're no longer in the game anyway." Before they had a chance to reply back, another loud siren went off. It came from one of the heart monitors, so we all rushed to see what was going on. We saw that Ymir's heart rate was going abnormally fast. Agil rushed over to her and checked her pulse.
"Guys. This isn't good!" Agil looked up with concern.
"Shouldn't she wake up if her heart rate is that high." Asuna was beginning to Panic.
"She should, but since she's in the real school..."
"She won't wake up." I replied. "If she's in the real school she won't won't wake up here. She..."
"That's impossible!" Asuna stood up furious. She knew what I was going to say. Everyone did. If Ymir's heart rate was that high, and continued to stay that way, Ymir would die and would never return. She would be trapped in Heavenly Host Elementary forever.
"Isn't there anything we can do?" Klein walked over sounding hopeless. If they were no longer in the game there was nothing we could do. All of a sudden, the sound of static came from the the computer over by the wall. Klein ran to the computer. "Guys. Your not going to believe this but, I think I got in!"
"What!?" I ran over to the computer. The screen was fuzzy, but I could make out a figure walking through a dark hall. "Did we get in?"
"It looks like there was a glitch and we some how got a connection. It's not much, but we can still surveillance from this one computer." Klein started messing around with the computer.
"Does this mean...?'' Asuna looked down at Ymir.
"I'm not sure." I looked back at Ymir. If we had the slightest bit of connection, could Ymir still make it out alive? I walked over to Asuna and sat next to her at the foot of Ymir's bed and held her hand. Asuna rested her head on my shoulder. Klein eventually walked over and waited by her side also.
After five minutes of no change in her heart rate. I stood up starting to walk away. Asuna turned around and looked up at me. "Kirito. Where...?"
"I can't just sit here waiting for someone to die, whether its in a game or in real life!"
"Well what are you going to do! We can't,"
I cut Asuna off, "There has to be some way! And if there's no way to save her in the real word, than I'm going in!" Asuna stood up and ran over to me, grabbing my shoulders.
"No! Your not going in if we don't know how to get you out, or even if you can get out! For now, please wait. For us." Asuna's eyes started to water as she grabbed her necklace. I held onto her hand holding onto the necklace. I felt so helpless, but I knew I couldn't leave Asuna behind. I would wait. Wait to figure how to get them all out, then save them, even if it meant me risking going in.
"I'll wait." I let go of Asuna and walked towards the door. "Agil? Do you mind if I grab a drink real quick?"
Agil nodded his head. "Sure thing man."
I walked out the room, shutting the door behind me than going down the hall into the cafe. There was almost no one in the cafe. Behind the counter was a worker I've seen a few times, but never really had the chance to talk to. I knew he knew me, so i walked behind the counter and helped myself to a soda. I was startled shortly after by the sound of the back door and loud foot prints. I placed my drink on the counter. Asuna came running out in tears. "Kirito! Kirito You have to come now! Ymir..."
Everyone in the cafe had a concerned yet confused face. i didn't care about them though. My main concern was on Ymir. I ran passed Asuna and grabbed her arm, pulling her towards the room. I didn't bother closing the door, I just ran towards Ymir. By her side was Agil and Klein, their faces back towards me. When I stopped before the bed and caught my breath there was a constant ringing in my ears. At first I though it was just me, but after a few moments of standing there catching my breath, I relieved it was the heart monitor. A constant loud ring. "What the hell...!"
"She's dead." Agil turned around to face me.
"You mean in the game or,"
"No. She's really dead."
I walked towards Ymir and sat on the bed. Her body was pale and still. Not a single movement. She wasn't coming back to the real world. I removed the nerve gear from her head and placed it on the side table. Tears started to form in my eyes. This was all my fault. I should have gone in. I could have saved her. Now there was no guarantee everyone else wouldn't end up the same way. Asuna placed her hand on my shoulder. I turned around and noticed she was crying. I stood up and and grabbed onto her. She did the same, and placed her face into my chest weeping. All I could do was hold her and stare blankly. How many times would we have to go through this again. Agil stood up, but Klein stayed seated on the bed. The room dark and cold.
"We really need to find a way to get them out more than ever now." Agil said sitting on a chair by the computers. I let go of Asuna and kissed her on the top of her head and walked over towards Agil. "I think sending Yui might be the only way without going in. And now that we have a connection, there's a chance she might be able to get in." Agil Said refusing to make eye contact.
"Are you serious right now!?" I started walking over to Agil, before I was startled by another loud beeping. I stopped in my tracks turning around trying to figure out who it was. My eyes landed on Sasha.
"You got to be fucking kidding me!" Klein jumped up form his spot and ran over to Sasha, as did everyone else.
"Guys we have to do something this time! We can't sit here and watch her die too!" I sat next to Sasha in a panic. Sasha was starting to get pale. She was painting and sweating like crazy. We all sat around the Sasha, helplessly. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and walked into the middle of the room. My hands were shaky as I tried unlocking my phone and scrolling through my contacts. I found Yui's and hit call. "Yui! This is Daddy. Mommy and Daddy are going to need you to transfer to a game called Corpse Party! Do you think you can do the sweety?" Asuna looked up at me shocked. There was no other choice. Yui was our last hope. Yui said she would transfer over as soon as possible, but I stayed on the phone. All of a sudden the monitor got louder and faster. "Yui! I need you to hurry! Please!" I ran over to Sasha, still on the phone with Yui. The monitor was even faster. "Yui! Now! We need you now!" Everyone was hovering over Sasha holding their breaths. "Yui please!" I collapsed next to the bed in tears. "Please!" The heart monitor gave off a long loud last ring.
