I woke up pretty early since Shawns interveiw was at ten. He told me to arrive around eleven, as this shouldn't take longer than an hour. He told me that we could hang out in the studio after the interview concludes, since anywhere in public would draw a crowd because he's Shawn Mendes.
I pulled on a pair of dark wash jeans, a black shirt, a black and red cardigan and black booties, left my hair down and did my every day make up routine.
Soon I was ready and headed out the door. I drove to the studio that was thirty minutes away from my apartment.
Once I pulled into the lot that the radio station was in I saw a bunch of fans surrounding the whole thing.
Wow, he really is famous. I still can't believe it.
I pulled around back as I was instructed and walked through the back door. I walked up to a studio that was surrounded by glass and saw that Shawn was still in his interview.
"Miss, this is a closed interview. You can't be in here." The tech guy who sat behind a huge dashboard informed me as he lowered the sound of the interview in the room so I couldn't hear it.
"Oh, I'm here to meet with Shawn. Elle Lively?" I said awkwardly.
He probably thinks I'm some fan.
"Oh Elle Lively, right. Sorry about that. Take a seat, they're almost finished."
I flashed him a smile and took a seat and listened in to the interview as the tech guy brought the sound back up.
The way Shawn talked throughout the remainder of the interview showed that he still is the sweet guy I knew. He still talked with such ease and showed how caring he still is throughout the interview. Maybe he hasn't changed as much as I presumed.
"And we're offline!" The tech guy said as he held a button down, projecting his voice into the next room.
Shawn and the interviewer took off their headphones and walked into the same room I was sitting in.
"That was great, thank you for agreeing to the interview." The interviewer said with a smile to Shawn.
"Yeah, you're welcome." He said almost monotone, not bothering to take his eyes off his phone.
It's like when all cameras and mics are off he becomes a whole different person.
The interviewer looked slightly thrown off by Shawns behavior. That would make two of us.
"Hey." I said with a light smile, getting his attention.
"Elle." He smiled at me and embraced me in a hug.
"Let's resume where we left off yesterday. Hopefully we won't get interrupted this time." He said with slight annoyance in his voice.

"Shawn, there's a mob of fans outside. You should at least make an appearance to them, they've been waiting for hours." Andrew joined us after we talked for nearly an hour.
Andrew sounded almost doubtful asking his question.
"Can't you see I'm busy?" Shawn snapped.
"No, Shawn, he's right. You should go say hi to them. They are your fans. I can wait here." I chimed in.
"Did the announcement about the interview say "including a free meet and greet?"" He asked.
I looked at him, dumbfounded.
"Exactly, it didn't. It's their faults they are wasting hours of their time, not mine. I don't owe them shit." He said in an extremely cocky voice.
You owe them your whole career?
I looked at Andrew, his manager, with confused eyes. He gave me a disappointed look and turned to walk away, letting out a sigh.
"Who even are you anymore?" I said not able to see him act like this any longer.
"What?" He asked with an eyebrow raised.
"The kid I knew two years ago never said no to a fan once. He was sweet, caring, and grateful for his fame. Those fans out there, you owe everything to them. If it weren't for them you wouldn't be where you are today."
He looked shocked at my response. No matter what, I will always consider him my best friend and this is what best friends do. And honestly, I can't stand the thought that the kind boy I knew is gone.
"I can't believe you got to go and follow your dream and this is what you've done with it. If I were in your shoes I would definitely be doing things differently, but I'm not. You're the one who got the fame not me." Slight bitterness evident in my words.
"Elle-" He stopped, trying to find the words to say.
"You're right. I've lost myself. I'm not the same boy I was back at Stars On The Rise, but maybe you could help me find him again?"
