Today marks the day Shawn and I finish our first song together. We have the producer coming in and then the final version of the song should be finished by the end of tonight. And I am ecstatic.
"Hi." I smiled lightly to Shawn and the producer whom were sitting in the studio waiting for me.
"Hey Elle." Shawn flashed his warm smile to me as he stood up to give me a small hug as usual.
"Are you two ready?" The producer questioned.
Shawn and I both exchanged excited glances before nodding and stepping into the studio to do one final run through of the song before the final recording.

"That is a banger!" The producer said after he played back the final copy of the song.
The song turned out amazing. Even better than I had thought, which I didn't know was possible.
"Now it's time to talk to the wicked managers of the west." I said with a nervous giggle.
Shawn chuckled as he placed a hand on my thigh, giving it a reassuring rub with his thumb.
"I heard that." Kim said as she joined us, Andrew following close behind.
I looked at Shawn with wide eyes and covered my mouth to try to stop myself from laughing.
"Oops." I whispered to him, causing him to laugh.
"Well let's hear it." Kim demanded.
The producer then began to play our song over the speakers in the room. I placed my hand over Shawns, which remained on my thigh, giving it a light squeeze due to my nerves. I really want them to like this.
The room fell silent after the song had finished. I looked at Kim and Andrew to try to examine their faces. They seemed to be almost communicating with their eyes. They nodded to one another before turning to Shawn and I.
"I love it and think it has real potential." Andrew said with a light smile.
I gave Shawns hand another light squeeze do to excitement.
"I do too." Kim agreed.
I squeled and bounced my legs up and down, knowing this is fantastic news.
"There are some rules to this, so don't get too excited yet." Kim added.
I sighed sarcastically. Kim always tries to ruin my fun.
"What are they?" Shawn asked with a brow raised, listening intently.
He's still so passionate about his music.
"If we are going to let you two release this, firstly, it has to be in Shawns name and with his label. Since he is the bigger artist it will reach a larger audience, getting you more publicity." Andrew started.
I nodded, understanding. As did Shawn.
"Secondly, you have to use this collaboration to your advantage. Advertisement is everything. You'll be making a Youtube video for your channel with Shawn regarding the song, you'll both have to post about it, and depending on how well it does a music video will be in the works shortly." Kim said very strictly.
A music video? I didn't even think about that. I am so excited to see how this whole process goes. Hopefully the fans like it.
"Is that all?" I questioned, ready to jump out of my skin from excitement and joy.
"One more thing, you'll have to release some individual music shortly after the release of this single." Kim finished.
Individual music? Already? What am I going to release first? None of my songs are even remotely close to being done!
"What?," I gasped, "None of my music is even close to being done."
"This will be more of a lengthy process. We are planning to drag it out as long as possible to get as large of a following on the song as possible. So you'll have some time." Andrew explained.
"I'll help you too, Elle." Shawn gave my thigh a pat.
I gave him a nervous smile and nod.
"Okay. Let's do this."
