Jack coughed, turning pale. This was strangely convenient.

He tightened his hand on his phone, interrupting Signe talking about her new art programs and tools. "I'm sorry, Signe. I'm gonna have to call you back." She immediately sounded concerned, "Is something wrong?" He cleared his throat, bringing his other hand up to hold his device, "Uh, no. Just something came up. I'll call you back though. Okay?"

Jack knew what he did was rude but he wanted to kind of hurry and already be nosy. He hung up, putting his phone into his pockets before he took his attention back on the conversation. He could easily spot what looked like to be Bob and Wade facing his side. The black haired one—who he assumed was Mark—was stationed beside someone with longer brown hair. He couldn't see either of their faces due to their backs being turned toward him and the booth. But he could hear he was talking to a girl, and Wade just kept shaking his head with a disappointed face.

Jack shuffled his way over to them, immediately catching all of their attention when he put his hands on the table. His action was a bold move, but his words were slightly fumbled and smile shy and unsure. "You guys, er, got room for, uh, one more?"

Mark's face got as bright as a newly lit star, excitement and glee written over every inch of his face. He glanced at the girl next to him and she immediately nodded with a welcoming, friendly smile. "We do, actually. Didn't expect to see you so soon," the girl's voice was upbeat as she moved over, Mark doing the same what little he could. Jack felt a small bit of envy at how close they were, but let it go.

He sat down beside her, his anxiety worse than ever. Luckily, that gal easily started a conversation with him. "You must be the Jack, huh? Mark's been talking so much about you. Every little thing he says has the name Jack in it." Jack looked in said person's direction, being met with a slightly scarlet face. Mark quickly rolled his eyes and turned his face away, hand raised to hide the side of it. Jack smiled. He was even cuter in person.

"Yeah. I suppose that's me. And you are? Sorry I don't know anyone's name. Mark mentions a lot of people—friendly bastard—but I don't think I can place your's..." The brunette laughed, shaking her head. She seemed to be an optimistic gal. "It's fine. I'm Amy. Mark's actual girl best friend. Probably his only best friend. He's really friendly but he's just so egotistical sometimes that he's an asshole. Right, Marky?" Amy glanced to her left, and Mark only shrugged with a low mhm. Bob seemed to be making eye contact with him though. And if Jack could read actions correctly he was focused on his lips. Mark was probably mouthing something to him. "Sorry about him. He's always bashful around his crushes."

Mark finally removed his hand, smacking it on the table in a fit of embarrassment. His face flushed with it. He glared at her in desperation, "Amy!"

The four of them joined together to laugh, and got a bit louder when Mark slammed his head on the table. Arms folding over his head after. Jack's died down last, staring at him with a sense of admiration in his eyes. Mark seemed embarrassed about everything that had to do with Jack, and was clearly either hiding true feelings by ignoring it or disliking the accusations. But he loved it. Jack loved it so much. Mark's behavior was adorable—no matter if he's having a good or bad day. Jack loves hearing his laughter, his groans of embarrassment, sighs of disdain, and even his scowls of anger. Mark was simply amazing.

Not to mention his pink hoodie Jack had to read nearly five times. An I'm not gay but $20 is $20 one. Jack highly doubted Mark would agree with that. He probably wore it for shits and giggles. Or it was comfortable. But, too bad Jack's twenty dollar bill had to go somewhere else.
