Jimin's eyes wrinkled as he smirked behind the surgical mask he was wearing, entertained by the small girl who obviously has a growing crush on him.
"You know, you actually remind me of someone."
Jimin froze, a frown forming on his face.
"But I can't seem to remember who."
Jimin let out a sigh of relief, the smirk he once had quickly returned. The pills he gave were actually working.
Jimin just nodded in reply, not daring to speak for it might trigger her memories since he had only started giving her pills these past two months. Jennie smiled, waving a hand before turning around and leaving the hospital.
"Ah, thank you— again, Jiminie. You've been working more frequently these past two months, huh? Is it because of Jennie?" Wonho wiggled his eyebrows, nudging Jimin as he changed out of the nurse uniform he has been sporting to his casual flannel and ripped jeans.
Jimin rolled his eyes, "Jennie who? I'm only here because I pity you taking care of your sickly mother. Try resting, stupid. I'm not always here to assist you when she needs your help." He replied while messing with Wonho's hair.
Though he knew that wasn't the main reason. It really was Jennie. Kim Jennie.
"Oh come on! We both know that Jennie girl already lik—"
"Bye, Wonho! I'll be back soon!" Jimin grinned as he ran off to the direction Jennie went.
For the past three years, Jimin had already been all too familiar with Jennie's daily routines.
It hasn't changed one bit. She hasn't changed at all.
"Jimin–ah! Don't you think it's too late at night already? We should probably be home." Jennie breathed nervously while running, her hands intertwined with Jimin's as he ran to the nearby park.
Jimin chuckled, obviously not noticing the difference in Jennie's tone. It was their anniversary— for once, Jimin wanted to be the one who would be followed.
"Yah! Jimin–ah!" Jennie screamed, letting go of Jimin's hand as she ran back to her house.
Jimin stood there with a frown plastered on his face. He sat on the pavement and tugged on his hair as he mumbled out frustrated profanities. All he wanted was to have fun with Jennie, in his own way. Why does she always have to react like that?
With a frown, Jimin entered the house only to find Jennie on the couch, hugging a pillow with a glare as he came.
"I'm tired, Jennie. I—I can't do this anymore."
Jimin shook his head as Jennie's face flashed on his mind. He remembered the tears on her cheeks, practically kneeling on the floor— telling him she would change.
For a split second, Jimin felt guilt.
Though he was reminded of why he was doing this.
This isn't just for me. It's also for her benefit, right?
Or is it?
A/N:
Hey Guys! First book up. Sorry if there are errors and confusions but I'll be sure to clear them all up in the following chapters. Do not worry. We're just starting. :)
And yes, this is kind of a jenmin au. I didn't really think much of the characters but my first thought was the two of them. Please don't attack me, I love them both.
Likes and comments are very much appreciated! Next chapter will be coming up soon!
