Selena stared at herself in the mirror. She was flabbergasted at the fact that Nick had gone above and beyond to get this beautiful dress for her. She was wrapped in a blush-colored, strapless gown that encased her torso perfectly, billowing to one side as it flowed down her lower body effortlessly as if silk were being draped. Her hair was parted to the side, showcasing the upside down droplet shaped nude earrings with a bit of gold shimmer on them. She had just applied a nude gloss on her lips, allowing them to look fuller as earthy mineral colored tones swept across her eyelids with a bit of brown eyeliner to bring out her chocolate colored eyes.
She had been getting ready with Miley in her room while Nick and Justin had some work to conduct to. Miley looked elegant in the classic mint green colored dress which dropped down after her bodice was tightly encased around her frame. The silver on her chest brought out the deep 'U' cut that formed on her neck line, plunging down just a little to reveal something worth seeing, but kept enough of a mystery at the same while.
She paired it off with silver heels and earrings, tying her hair after straightening it and applying a deep, muted blood colored red lipstick.
"You look stunning," Selena complimented her best friend.
A melodic laugh flew out of Miley's mouth.
"I'm nothing compared to you, Sel." She replied as she sprayed herself with some expensive perfume that was sure to last the whole night.
The strong scent hit Selena as she swatted the air around her away, not wanting it to affect the sweeter, softer vanilla and raspberry smell she had on. After they had made their way to the lobby where Nick had said they'd get them to drive over to the where they'd be docking, Miley spoke up.
"So... have anything you wanna share with me?" She asked, a look of hope in her twinkling eyes. Selena looked at her weird.
"No?"
"Are you sure?"
"You know I tell you everything. What happened?" Miley sighed.
"I thought you and Nick were getting married there for a second." She let out a nervous laugh just as Selena's mouth formed an 'O'.
"What made you think that!" Selena gasped.
"No. I-- no. Not that I know of." Miley looked over at her confused.
"I heard him talking on the phone about having a ring and saying it was for you... unless," her face dropped.
This was too much news for Selena to handle. And quite frankly it wasn't enough for her to make any conclusions yet. Though it did have her thinking possibilities of Nick cheating on her. She was so consciously aware of herself cheating on him that him betraying her seemed completely out of the picture. She shook her thoughts as she began to shake her head.
"Okay, you know what? Nobody's getting married. Let's just enjoy this yacht and the food that'll be on there."
"Deal, because I am starving." Miley said as soon as Justin and Nick came into view.
The subject got dropped as soon as it was brought up but it was still in Selena's mind and she couldn't help but look at Nick, ignoring the glances that Justin was giving her. They had gotten to the harbor where people were coming out of limousines in tuxedos and gowns, dresses and any other formal piece of clothing invented on the planet. The first thing that caught Selena's eye was the huge 500 foot yacht that was afloat on the shimmering purple waters with gold lights shining onto its entrance.
The sun had just set, leaving behind a streak of midnight purple and this caused the ripples of the water to be a shimmering silver color on people's faces. It had two decks: upper and lower, along with the sundeck. The lower contained a swimming platform and the upper had an outside dining area extended from the room that everyone would be engaging most of their time at. Coming from the yacht also was upbeat music that could probably be heard from miles away.
"Wow," Selena murmured as she took in the sight.
"What, you haven't seen this?" Justin appeared next to her and chuckled. Once he saw her looking at him he raised his eyebrow.
"I own three, small ones of course. You're not forgetting my apartment are you?" He spoke quieter this time so only she could hear and be reminded of the night she spent at his place, shocked that he came from a family of wealth, whereas Nick got there due to his job.
"Come on," Nick said as he took a hold of Selena's hand, smiling. "The interior is even more exquisite."
