Chapter 10

There were classes the other day. I would have loved it if Mike was in the class but he had to do something, about which he didn't tell me, even when I called him in the morning. Anyways it was just me.

Kyle was there in class and it seemed like he was quite angry and ignoring me. Why was he angry anyway? I can't even remember anything. I went upto him and sat on the chair next to his but then he stood up and walked out. I was about to go after him when someone tugged my hand making me sit back on the chair.

"Hey, how are you?" And it was...Ryan.

"That's none of your concern. Move to your own seat!" I said with a pissed expression but instead he came leaching on me, keeping his arms around my shoulder and pulling me close. I tried to push him but he tightened his grip and pulled me closer.

And I knew what he was trying to do as I saw others taking our photos. Therefore I pushed him rudely that made him fall on the floor.

"What the hell!!" He shouted attracting more attention of other students as he was trying to set up a scene but I had some other 'important' works to do rather than giving this dickhead any attention.

Therefore I stood up looking down at Ryan as he held out his hand expectantly when I turned to walk out of the class. I heard him calling me names and cursing me but that was the least of the things that bothered me now. I wanted to know what happened that night that made Kyle angry and at the same time Mike became so close to me.

Whatever had happened, I am happy because my baby became close to me. But I don't want to lose my good friend.

I was looking around for Kyle but he was nowhere to be seen. I tried calling him but he just ignored my calls.

"Hey Jayden. How was your weekend?" And the last person I was praying not to see... Adawna. I didn't want to 'talk' to her, so all I did was... ignored her. But as expected, she followed me. What the hell is wrong with everyone today!!!

"Leave me alone!!!" I spat in her face. She was shocked at my sudden burst but soon regained her composure.

"Oh c'mon Jayden. I know whom you are looking for." She said crossing her arm and with a smirk on her face. "So don't make a fuss because you are going to need me."

"I don't need your help so just piss off." I would rather search him for whole day rather than having her help me.

"Okay if you say so. Actually I just wanted to tell you that.... I know everything about that night and in any case you can't handle the situation, feel free to call me." She winked at me.

"What do you mean?" I asked as curiosity killed me.

But instead of replying me, she gave an evil smirk and walked away. IS SHE INSANE!!??

"Okay now tell me whatever you have got to say." Kyle said looking elsewhere as if whatever I say has nothing to do with him. We were now in the empty basketball court. I found him during lunch, he didn't attend any class before that and this is what freaking me.

"What the hell happened that night that you are behaving like this to me!!!" I asked directly getting to the point. I watched at him while he was just ignoring my gaze. I was being impatient as he didn't show any sign of opening up.

"Kyle?" my voice softened on its own as I saw the smaller boy couldn't make up what to say. "I won't know until you tell me, Kyle. I am sorry if I did somet– "

"Stop it!!" He yelled again looking down. I was taken aback by his sudden outburst. But when I looked at him, he looked vulnerable. So I calmed myself and waited for him to talk.

It took him a while to calm down and again talk. His voice hoarse when he finally moved his lips to talk.

"You haven't done anything wrong." He started and I was waiting for him to tell me everything that had been going in his mind. "It's me..." He looked up at me with those beautiful eyes filled with unshed tears. "It's me who should be sorry." Tears rolling down his cheeks, but I didn't do anything. He is my best friend and it hurts to see him like this but now I have to know.... everything.

"I am sorry for fa... falling in l...love with..." He closed his eyes as if it hurts him saying it out loud. I watched as he finally looked again at me."I am falling for Mike knowing that you also like him but I can't help it Jayden. I just can't!" He snapped.

I was shocked. Yes, SHOCKED... This all time he had been liking Mike and I had no idea. He spent time with both of us and I agree that I only had my eyes on Mike. Yes, maybe therefore I didn't see this coming. I didn't notice how Kyle looked at Mike. I didn't think of Kyle and Mike being together. I didn't see anything. I am really dumb....

I didn't realize I had lost in my thoughts when Kyle started to walk away. I wanted to stop him but how in the earth I can do this. It will be cruel of me to make him be with me with Mike by my side.... Did I just lose a friend?
