Kamisama Hajememashita Fanfic: Tomoe X Nanami

Chapter 4

A/N Sorry it took so long, but I just found out Kamisama Hajimemashita has an OVA I was DYING to watch it, so sorry! I put a video on the last chapter for you!

Tomoe's POV

"Nanami, I love you" I can't even believe those words just left my mouth!!! I just confessed to a human!

Well, it's too late to turn back now, so, let's see how she responds shall we?

She started crying, immediately I got a sinking feeling in my chest. God I hate when she does this to me!!! 

I leaned down to wipe the tears from her face. "What's wrong, did I do something to upset you?" 

She shook her head, smiling. Tears still streaming down her cheeks.

"Then why are you crying?" I asked. She gave another smile. 

"I've always wanted you to say that! You've known for so long how much I love you!" She held on to me, I just relaxed, welcoming her embrace. 

Nanami's POV

Tomoe confessed! I'm so exited! I just can't believe it! Tomoe loves me back!!

I hugged him, half expecting him to push me away, he didn't, so I just kept hugging him. 

He hugged back after a little while. I smiled to myself, burying my face into his kimono.

 We stayed like that until Mizuki came in, smiling as usual. 

"Hey, Nanami, why did Mike lea- Ohhhh"

I don't know why, but I panicked a little bit. So I released my arms feom Tomoe's waist, but he held me tighter.

Tomoe's POV

Mizuki chose that moment to walk in. DAMN SNAKE! "Hey, Nanami, why did Mike lea-" he stopped when he saw us on the floor. "Ohhhh"

After he said that, Nanami let go of my waist. Did I do something wrong? I felt her attempt to escape my grasp, so I held her tighter. I don't want our embrace to end just yet.

Mizuki just stayed there too. Staring. He didn't go away no matter how many deathglares I shot at him.

Annoying snake! Just leave us alone!

Finally I snapped, "Why are you in here, or was it just to give us the obvious news of Mike leaving?" I asked, glaring at the snake.

He shifted uncomfortably then he answered.

Nanami's POV

Mizuki shifted uncomfortably before he  answered Tomoe's question, "We have a visitor..." He stepped out of the way revealing none other than Numaro ( A/N I'm not sure if it's spelled correctly, I wrote ot on my hand and my handwriting isn't the beat on my hand, so sorry). She was crying.

I immediatley broke from Tomoe's grasp and went to my friend's side, trying to comfort her. "What's wrong?" I asked the sobbing yokai, " K-Kotarou and I g-got into a f-f-fight, and he s-sa-said that h-he sh-sh-should've never dated a STUPID Y-YOKAI!" She sobbes into my shoulder. Tomoe mumbled "Told ya so" before I shot him a glare. (This is after volume 12 of the manga)

Tomoe's POV

I muttered 'told you so' out of instinct when I realised what I was saying. I pretty much just told Nanami that Numaro and Kotarou's relationship was an example of why human/yoaki relationships don't work. We are human and yokai. I mentally facepalmed as Nanami left with Numaro. From here I could see small tears sparkling in the corners of her eyes...
